DR Ron Pulliam - Was it my imagination - or maybe it was just my tv reception/picture - but were the "transformations" on "The Biggest Loser" this season not as dramatic as in season's past?

I watched HEROES and it went over by 1 minute. Luckily i was able to watch that online!

Btw, is anybody else excited that season 2 of DAMAGES starts in a few weeks.

Jan 7th in the US.
Jan 18th in Canada.

Jennifer, did you read this: 'Canadian Idol' canceled in 2009?

So...when I got up this morning and left for work, it was snowing.  By the time I got to work (only six minutes later), it had completely stopped.  It started snowing again within a half hour or so after I got to work and has not stopped since!  Several people didn't come in this morning and several others have already left.

At least, it's the pretty kind of snow...and I don't have to go anywhere tonight! :D

Well, I've gone and done it!  I've lost a day.    Today has been Tuesday to me.  Monday blurred into Tuesday.

This, despite the fact that I watched the "Biggest Loser" finale last night! (Hooray, Michelle!  Boo Hiss, Heba!  Hooray, Vickie for not winning any of the prizes!)

Heba DID look awesome, though.  As did Amy.  But Michelle was dazzling.

I wanted Coleen to look better than she did.  The potential is there, but she seems to have "settled" on a weight.

I got a kick out of the fact that America did NOT vote for Heba to be in the final 3.  I was VERY happy that Michelle won. Not just because I like her the best, but because she wasn't into all the game playing that the other team was doing.

You could see it when they showed a photo of part of his face with his son (he's married to the other finalist, can't remember her name) she's kept it off and they didn't show his body just a part of his face, it was not the face of a thin man

I said the same thing about the last two dogs.  Maybe they just need a little more time, or the right dog to come along that needs rescuing as with Miss Blue Moon.

I think part of it is that they lost so much while still at the ranch.   I remember it was a huge deal in past seasons when someone went over 100 pounds of weight loss and now it's just routine.   And remember when they thought it was impossible for a female to win?

The biggest transformation to me was Jerry. That one was amazing. He left so early in the game I never thought he would lose that much on his own

Oh!

And thanks to a tip from Newyorkology.com via Twitter, I managed to score a ticket to the tour of the Food Network Studios tomorrow morning. In fact, I scored the last one. They are running some "trial tours" right now in the hopes of making them a regular "attraction".

The Iron Chef Kitchen Stadium will be included along with Bobby Flay's and Rachael Ray's sets. And cameras will be permitted and were sort of encouraged during my confirmation phone call.

Needless to say, I'm excited, and since they're down at Chelsea Market, I can grab a latte at Ninth Street Espresso (truly my favorite cup of coffee in the city) and a Fat Witch Brownie too. :)

It's been off and on rain/snow for the past couple of days. It's not midwest cold but it's in the mid-30s and in the nighttime it goes down to the low-30s.

I'm not complaining, mind you.  I will get a dose of Winter in March when I go to Wisconsin to see Anthony in The Fantasticks.

We still haven't taken any pictures of the tree. Anthony is working on an old scrapbook, making like new again with captions and new pages.

We went to a place called Totally Baked for lunch. They serve baked potatoes (and a few other things including sweet potato gelato). I can't find a Web site but it's a nice place. The potatoes are overstuffed (I had one with smoked bacon, guacamole and sour cream - hey it's the holidays) and Anthony had one with veggie chili. They both came with a small salad with raspberry vinegarette dressing. After stuffing ourselves with our potatoes we split an order of the Sweet Potato Heath Bar Crunch gelato. MMM MMM good.

Jose, have you been there? It's on 18th between 5th and 6th on the south side of the street just east of Academy.

I think i've asked this before, but... Does "The Biggest Loser" provide any type of post-show follow-up and support for the contestants. -Especially in the psychological area.  That's a lot of change to deal with after the cameras stop rolling.

Has anyone seen the new New York City tourism commercials with that awful (IMHO) version of "A Train"?  They don't even use the II7b5 structure that makes the whole song so distinctive.

It's been a nice vacation, full of naps and get togethers and also doing nothing. I'm looking forward to going out to LI on Monday. We will probably be ther until Saturday or Sunday. I will sleep, eat, do nothing and probably try to walk on the treadmill at least once.

I should try to go to the theatre but it's nicer to just stay home and watch videos curled up on the couch.
