Unlike other industries, the arts cannot cover the cost of inflation by improving worker productivity.

Aren't we fortuate to have creative directors like John Doyle who can increase productivity by having the actors double as musicians!

Not to mention the cost effectiveness of replacing the whole instrument playing crowd with tape - thank you Susan Strohman.

I just realized that yesterday was my 2-yr anniversary of being a HHW poster (albeit an E and T gratuitous poster -- but every post counts, right?) -- yep the 29th of '06 was when DR ELmo encouraged (make that harassed) me to come online at this here site. That means DR SawDawg is close to his 2-yr cause he joined not soon after. I remember his selection of the puce-colored toga out of the array of choices in the HHW toga box when he quickly attained goddess status (didn't he set some sort of record?) as if it were yesterday .... my how time flies ...

Fed Ex just dropped off the two cartons of work I shipped from Ohio yesterday, and Fed Ex ground service picked up the 4 cartons for Miami University. I've sent them 87 cartons of books, papers and manuscripts this year.

My day is now open for work, the bank and the market.

Maybe I should just legally adopt my grand-nephew and grand-niece. I don't think their mom would be too happy, though. And Grandma Jo would kill me for taking her babies away from Ohio.

Come to think of it, I guess everyone needs to trade in those togas/togae for capes now that we're heroes and no longer gods/goddesses .... (well, you all will always be gods and goddesses in my eyes .... awwwww, that was so sweet ...)

Well I had Chemo yesterday - the new Drugs along in conjunction with the  HWW Vibes seem to be working - so far no nausea although I have been sleeping constantly -

Just found the box of capes and Spandex/tights in the HHW costume closet -- all kinds of choices -- Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Rubber Band Man or Mr. Elastic or whatever he's called, Captain Atom, Captain Canuck (from Canada ... DR Jennifer?) or his spoof Captain Canucklehead, The Flash, Huntress, Green Lantern, Super Commando Dhruva (from India -- bet DR Mikey is gonna want that one, right, Mikey?) -- of course, we could also custom make some like The Enabler or The Temptress with a giant Levain cookie logo ... the sky is the limit ...
