Danise!!! Oh, my fingers are crossed that you'll legally have your dawg!!! The only thing that can get in the way of a permanent bond is that he will find his family again, which would be a blessing for him and them... and having him at the shelter means you are not falling in love every minute of every day. I am a fan of the Meant To Be...
Well, I find it so funny that I made my mind up NOT to get another dog and that when I WAS thinking about getting one I considered a boxer because Sheena seemed to get along with them at the dog park.  And BAM here is one delivered to my doorstep.  Ok God, I get the message!  :)

It did show me that Sheena really does need a friend.  I hate leaving her all alone when I go to work or out on Saturday to do the shopping.  Even if this doesn't work out, I think I will keep an eye out on the pound website for a boxer and I will adopt one.

Was that Madame Duncan's scarf I saw wrapped around the wheel of that Bugatti that DR derBRUCER posted yesterday?

DR JOSE I hear is now working security at MOMA.

DR Danise, it sounds to me like you are doing the right thing. The fact that they will call you if he isn't claimed in 5 days is great and he will get a check-up and be neutered.  And if there is a family out there who are very sad about losing their dog and they find him, at least you know that Sheena is ready for a playmate.

I am still agog at the idea of the show that DR DRUXY mentioned yesterday....the one that featured Pat Harrington, Eddy Arnold, and Billy deWolfe.

I wanted say that I'm sorry it will be Wednesday before I can take him to the pound but that's the only night they say open until 6.  I can't make it before then.

If this had happened on Friday night, I could have taken him on Saturday. Oh, well.

Going to try to keep this a low-key day.  I return to the office tomorrow for the first time in just about a month and I can't say I'm really looking forward to getting up early again.  Ah, well--all good things must end...

Need to go check on my laundry...

Good morning, good day, how are you this beautiful day?  I am up.  It looks really pretty out, so the long jog is on.  Many excellent and continual vibes and xylophones to vixmom and Laura's sister and anyone else who needs them.

DR Danise, I wish you all the best in becoming Mr Boxer's bona fide owner! The plan sounds quite fair and reasonable to me.

I'm waiting to hear from the Raines fmily before I tote over a load of gifts.

Lots of hainsies/kimlets here, but not lots of postings.  They must be busy reading.  I don't really want to read this VERY long script today, but alas, I must.  It's over 130 pages - and it's a musical - and all the songs aren't in the script.  Which means that going in this is going to be close to three hours long.

ASSOCIATED PRESS

Quote
LONDON —  An extremely rare 1937 Bugatti has been found in a garage in England and is expected to draw a record price when it is auctioned in Paris next month.

The dusty but intact Bugatti Type 57S Atalante is one of only 17 ever made. It had a top speed of 130 mph at a time when most cars could only go half as fast.

The powerful two-seater car from the heyday of the celebrated Bugatti marquee is expected to be sold for more than 3 million pounds ($4.3 million).

Something SingDing could drive to the Hamptons.

Was that the same car that killed Isadora Duncan?

Why I loathe the media - the headline:

History Buff
Gunned Down
Eccentric Student Dressed as Nazi
Shot Seven Times by Seattle Police

The story?  He was aiming a rifle with a bayonet attached at the police and refused, after several requests, to put it down.  They'd been summoned by neighbors who complained of rifle shots.  The young man was dressed in a German military uniform.  Later, alcohol and live ammunition and a lot of WWII memorabilia was found.  His mother described the boy as peaceful and loving, though.

DR MattH, i really enjoyed this season of THE STARTER WIFE.

DR Danise, i think either way things will be great for Mr. Boxer. Either there are people looking for him who love him. or you and sheena will have a new friend!

Good morning, all! Another day of Toyland edits, followed by a gift day with the Raines family before Charlotte and I run off to the 3 pm showing of BENJAMIN BUTTON.

That's my day. I have very little to report at the moment except that this is the 10th Day of Christmas. Two more to go!

Be sure to say "Hi" to Ron for me.  I, of course, don't know Mr. Raines, but I just think it would cool to know that elmore said, "Tom says Hi." to such a talented entertainer (and I don't even watch GUIDING LIGHT)

Dona called me to tell me that Charlotte's godmother Celia Weston is running late so Charlotte will meet me at the theatre and we'll do gifts after the movie.  So, in about 30 minutes I'll leave for the theatre.

DR TCB, I'll tell Mr Raines howdy for you.

DR elmore - Just remember, "Benjamin Button" is two hour and 40 minutes.  Plan your fluid intake and outtake accordingly.

Have a great time with Charlotte and the rest of the Raines today.
