DtM's drunken song about Lorna, which I guess could be sung by Judy or Liza:

Standin' round with Lorna watchin' all the guys go bi
Standin' round with Lorna watchin' guys give guys the eye

Sister you don't wanna feel the same frustration
Matter of fact, neither do I

As standin' 'round with Lorna watchin' all the guys go bi

DR FJL - You need to get Christine Pedi to do a "snippet" reel for you.  ;)

DR Laura, why is there no amusing banter at the bottom of your posts?  You've spoiled me, I've started to expect it.

I'm trying to find the episode of THE JUDY GARLAND SHOW in which she sang the Johnny Mercer song "Lorna" to her daughter. (I checked the Christmas show, on which Lorna appeared.) I think she pulled her up out of the audience, and mentioned what a great songwriter Johnny was. Ring any bells?

It wasn't on the Christmas show, I don't think. It was on one of her concert shows later in the run.

Egad!  The Jeremy Piven video has over 1,000 views in little over a day, and my others (about the economic bailouts) had more than enough viewers to make me happy - but none of them broke 1,000 even with months.

Lesson learned:  Videos about sexy TV stars with mercury poisoning will attract more viewers than videos about the economy.

I finished the last episodes of CHEERS. It had some funny finishing episodes, but the final episode didn't choke me up as some other finale episodes.

Next, I watched last Thursday's SMALLVILLE. Pretty good episode with some funny references to the lack of flying and SUperman tights on SMALLVILLE.

UPS dropped off a large shipment of review discs: the next two Criterions (both Luis Bunuel movies) and five TV box sets including the second season of THE INVADERS, the second season of FRIDAY THE 13th-The Series, DAVE'S WORLD, MELROSE PLACE, and one other which I can't remember right now.

Wow MattH, Melrose Place...used to be my favorite show!

Now you can see the Desperate Housewives cast when they were young.

Tonight, instead of getting hammered and working on a Lorna song, I watched MANHATTAN and STARDUST MEMORIES.  I would give anything to be able to see MANHATTAN on a big movie screen again--the photography begs for it.

I hated STARDUST MEMORIES when it first came out for pretty much the same reason as the critics at the time did--I hated how Allen presented his character's fans as freaks and geeks.  But nowadays I find the entire movie very funny.  And I love Charlotte Rampling--so dark and disturbed but still seductive.

I do think it plays funnier in retrospect. I also like SHADOWS & FOG much more now than I did when it first was released.
