Of course when I got to the post office, I realized that I hadn't put DR MBARNUM's address on the package, SO I had to take it back home and then BACK to the Post Office.

I'm up, I'm up.  Well, I'm not sure I've been asleep.  When my throat is feeling weird I just don't sleep - I doubt I got more than two or three hours but boy was my brain active - I even got up and wrote down a few things at one point.

It's still overcast outside, so if I'm going to run it won't be until later.

I don't think I'll be watching the inauguration - I just don't enjoy those things and the media on THIS particular inauguration makes me want to vomit on the ground.

DR Mark, your late night post was reminiscent of a Chuck Lorre vanity card.;D Currently I only read the ones at the end of THE BIG BANK, my favorite Chuck Lorre show.

bk - Your throat issues - Is it possible that you've developed a case of acid reflux?  -Which could be possible since you've started introducing more "regular" foods back into your diet lately.

It could also explain why you want to vomit on the ground ;)

I watched the inauguration with a man who is in deportation proceedings after being in the country since the 80s and a legal permanent resident who has been here since she was a child and crossed the border with her mother in the night.  We all sat in my office so we could see the TV.   The judge didn't call for the hearing until the middle of the speech (of course)   I couldn't help but smile watching the festivities, I mean how can you not be a proud during an inauguration.

Nope, I'm pretty sure it's allergies.  I haven't changed my food selection at all, actually.  And I only drink one or one and a half Diet Cokes a day now, and since doing that and drinking water I haven't had one instance of heartburn or acid reflux or anything like them - it's been over six months.

From DR Laura:
Quote
"Ladies and gentlemen, the captain has turned on the 'fasten seat belt' sign. Please take your seats. This is for your safety and the safety of the person you will fall on."
-- USAirways flight attendant

;D  I love when the flight attendants change the routine dialog a little.

I bet everyone was listening for a change ;)

I didn't like the administration but I wish him and his family well. I think the new administration has been very classy about everythng and the farewell was quite moving.

Sometimes these classic songs need a trained singer with some breath control; I love Aretha, but I swear she sang "My coun (breath) try 'tis of thee." I thought we were heading into blue territory for a minute and what the hell would the FCC think?

Off to run a few errands, like pay for this month's cell phone and stop at the bank.
