I'm up, the sky is blue, and I shall be jogging at some point in the next two hours (I'm going to let it heat up a little - last night the temperatures dropped to the low 40s).

Monkey sure is photogenic! I think he deserves a coffee table book of NYC travels..or even other cities...DanTMan can write the captions.

I would buy it.

And I am not sure, but I may have Monkey's cousin Duckie living at my house. He was a gift from the former across the street neighbors daughter when they moved. Duckie has been sitting on a shelf all these months and I never noticed...but they share the same rope like arms and legs.

Perhaps Monkey's father got around.

It's about sixty-two in the home environment - heating that up, too.

Hmmm...

Has the following site ever been mentioned here on HHW?

TOP DOCUMENTARY FILMS

Quote
My name is Vlatko (based in Europe) and I’m the webmaster of this site. It all started back in 2007 when I “fell in love” with documentaries in quest for more knowledge. I then started searching for documentaries and found a whole bunch and decided to put them all on one webpage.

“Top Documentary Films” attempts to provide information on documentaries by quoting reviews from trusted sources and placing links for more info about the documentary films. The site also offers trailers for the documentaries and full watchable documentaries. In case you decide to buy your favorite documentary film, or you want to get some more information there are links to Amazon.com.

He is a bit grey/gray when it comes to copyrights, but since none of the content is directly hosted by him, well... ???

*And the few films that I checked out were all authorized for internet streaming.

**DR edisaurus - "Sacco & Vanzetti" is listed on the site with a link to Amazon to purchase it.  However, "The Internationale" is not. ;)

Thanks for pointing that site out! I'll pass it on to Peter and maybe even ask him if he'll put our other film up there!

I've hear about it and would like to see it. I discontinued HBO a few years ago. Maybe I'll check for it on Netflix. I've read several bios---he's one of my faves.

I'm awake! More today with the arrangements, a chorus rehearsal for Anything Goes which is always very trying (60+ 6th, 7th and 8th graders) and then a rehearsal for Into the Woods in the evening.  For now, laundry.

Raccoon bites off rapist's penis

That headline makes me flashback to the 80s and Humana Festival plays.

DR Matthew, I thought this was going to be a report about Sondheim reworking INTO THE WOODS Act One finale.

I did some revising of yesterday's pages, and wrote the end of the chapter (just an additional two paragraphs), and the first line of the new chapter.  Now I think I'll jog.

New York was quite beautiful this morning until around 11 when the rains began to wash it away. The bus ride up to Columbia was lovely: quiet, snow-filled, and the moisture in the air made everything look as though it was being seen through a misty screen. I hadn't been onto the Columbia campus since my Pulitzer Prize trip in 1984, and it's quite a beautiful obne. I found the library, the 6th floor Rare Books & Manuscripts Collections, examined the GENTLEMEN BE SEATED! drafts, photocopied what I need and now I'm home, hoping to not leave it again today. The snow is melting, the rains continue and it's mess and slippery out.

A view from Austria:

A boy jumps off the pier at St Kilda beach as a heatwave hits Melbourne on January 27, 2009 in Melbourne, Australia....

"A view from Austria," but then it's a picture of Australia?

;)

A tribute to TCB

And I do appreciate it, derBrucer.  That snow in Austria looks so blue, it could almost be mistaken for water.
