I think I will watch RUBY GENTRY with Jennifer Jones and Charlton Heston.

The first time I saw it on tv when I was 11 or 12, I thought it was a comedy.

The last surviving veteran of World War One turned 108-years-old.  WOW!  The article didn't say if he is the last remaining US veteran or of the world.

She was a good lady, a little weird, but lovely with a will of iron.

Woo Hoo.  I cheered so much at that last touchdown that Boo started meowing.  Every time I cheer she meows, it's really pretty funny....ok, last 2 minutes...here we go

Finished watching Home, with Ralph Richardson and John Gielgud.  Not a great play, but what wonderful actors they were.

I agree on all points!  I wish the BBC would release Pinter's NO MAN'S LAND with these two actors playing off each other.  Now the Mr. Pinter's passed on...a DVD Pinter Boxed Set would be a great idea.  Same for Simon Gray as well.

Yeah, I was really glad I watched as much of it as I did, especially the 4th quarter. Now THAT was football!

I am still agog at the fluffy bits being displayed on the National Stage.

Ms. Staunton's fluffy bits were not exposed onstage at the National but  The Trafalgar Studio Theatre on Whitehall.

Geography is not my strong suit. I stand corrected.

At first, I thought you were speaking of Ms. Staunton's geography!

Oh, I guess the Steelers won! We just got back from walking and dining and missing the Superbowl excitement. But we could see lots of TV tuned to the game and lots of parties as we walked through the neighborhood.

I agree. The football game was crazy in the 4th quarter. A lot of screaming and cheers.

Arizona was not even in the game till the 4th quarter. But it seems to happen a lot that teams get momentum. My brother-in-law was sweating.

That touchdown run for pittsburgh right before half time was unbelievable. And that last touchdown was too. I can't believe that guy had both his feet in. Amazing! Very exciting game.

I saw everything but the half-time show (i was putting my niece to bed).

at 3 1/2 she watched the first half with interest. She watched almost every minute. And asked what happened a lot. And when pittsburgh would score she would give her daddy a big high five and a hug.

DR Matt H, I'm still impressed you gave up chocolate.  Have you lost weight on your diet or is it just to eat healthy?

I've lost about 14 pounds. I wasn't hughly overweight, but my pants were getting too tight around my waist, and I can now comfortably fit into all of my jeans and cords that were getting too tight.

Thanks so much for asking!

:)

The friends we were visiting have a 2 year old daughter who could tell us who the Pres., VP and Sec. of State and where they live. What can be cuter than a 2 year old saying "Barack Obama" with a big grin on her face?
