Had a very busy night of TV.

I began by finishing the last bonus feature on the MADAGASCAR 2 disc (it was a game).

Then I watched THE PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR. It's two segments from the Nick TV series. The first one called "Popcorn Panic" actually made me laugh and was very enjoyable. The second was about King Julien not understanding what a digital camera is, and it wasn't very good.

This disc also had several bonus features.

Oh, the plane crash years ago in Sioux City is on Nightline tonight.  United Flight 232 and Captain Al Haynes.  The plane that did the cartwheel.  184 people survived.  He's a huge hero here. Apparently he and Sully had a conversation after the landing in the Hudson.  Interesting....

I've mentioned this before about ANYA, but I'll never forget an episode of THE MIKE DOUGLAS SHOW. Lillian Gish was the co-host and one of the guests one day was one of the NY drama critics. I can't remember if it was John Simon or someone else, but she turned to him during the broadcast and chastised him for panning ANYA. "Why, " she asked, "Why did you destroy this lovely show and put so many people out of work?" The audience applauded her for a long time.

I had time before prime time TV started, so I watched last night's LAW & ORDER. Good case with the usual L&O twists especially at the end.

UGLY BETTY had some entertaining moments, but I knew Daniel was in for it when he chickened out and didn't tell Connor the truth. Connor looked very accomplished sparring in the ring like that, too.

DR George - I really, really like Pilobolus.  -And I'm sort of kicking myself for not catching them during their recent engagement at The Joyce in NYC.  I used to see them at the Kennedy Center regularly.

GREY'S ANATOMY was sort of up and down for me this week.

[sigh] Another lesbian for Callie (the third this season). Derek got the bedroom cleaned up very fast. But is this a turning point for Dr. Bailey in her career? That was very interesting.

ABC can do all the crossovers they want with PRIVATE PRACTICE. I'm not watching the show. Anything important that happens in that show will be recapped at the beginning of next week's GREY'S ANATOMY episode. (These two episodes are being repeated on Saturday night in case I change my mind and want to watch it.)

At 10 p.m., I watched tonight's BONES.

Pretty affecting episode, but I have to say I guessed the identity of the Grave Digger the second the character appeared on the screen.

Remember the great line from THE WIZ? (I'm paraphrasing the set-up)

Why didn't you tell her she could have gone home anytime she wanted to?

What?  And put all these people out of work?

Re:  Gracenote.  I was Googling myself a few years ago (oh, like you haven't)--actually I was Googling a song of mine which was getting a little regional airplay yet I wasn't seeing a cent from ASCAP (long story), and discovered someone had uploaded track info to Gracenote, saying my song was part of a compilation CD I had never heard of.  Now I knew I had never licensed it, and I emailed Gracenote and actually got a response from them, but of course they were clueless, too.  I have assumed it was a homemade compilation.  Still no ASCAP royalties, damn them, damn them to hell.

I'd say you didn't miss too much.  The cross-over didn't happen until the very end and the story will pick up at Seattle Grace

Thanks, DR Cilla. I understand they're trying to build the popularity of PRIVATE PRACTICE, but I gave the show a chance last season, and I got fed up with it. It's TOO late to win me over now.

My roommates and I actually think the level of writing on "Private Practice" this season is (was?) better than the beginning of this season of "Grey's Anatomy".  Mainly because there have been no "ghosts" on "Private Practice". ;)  -Seriously, though, "Private Practice" has had some surprisingly emotional and moving episodes this season.  I wasn't too "hot" on "Private Practice" either initially, but it seems the show has its stride now.

Ah, well, I guess no one sings or plays live anymore.  Except for The Boss.

*I had thought that Jennifer Hudson was lip-syncing on Super Bowl Sunday.  I mean, the sound was just "too good" for a football stadium's sound set-up.  But I still enjoyed her rendition. And it's been "fun" reading some of the comments then and now about her performance.  It wasn't the first time she's sung the National Anthem in public.

I'm done viewing and just read through the eight pages I wrote today.  I was worried I wouldn't like them, but they read okay to me.
