MY FUNNY VALENTINE

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were filled with lovely love and Cupid's arrows, and now it is time for you to post until the love-filled cows come home.

DR vixmom:  My lunch yesterday was a smoked turkey sandwich on dark rye, made at home with my own hands.

I am "over" my cold.  Side effects continue to linger -- I tire more easily than I like, for instance.  And in the evenings, I'm ready for bed way earlier than normal.  But these things shall pass.

My favorite album of hers was her double-LP (and I got it new on vinyl back in the late 70s), "Donna Summer:  Live and More."  It was a live concert with a bonus studio recording of the medley, "MacArthur Park Suite" at the end.  When it was eventually released on CD, they had to use a different song ["Theme From The Deep (Down Deep Inside)"] because "MacArthur Park Suite" was too long for the single CD.  I MUCH prefer the "MacArthur Park Suite" over "Theme From The Deep (Down Deep Inside)."  But I love that album.  When I was in college, I sold some of my vinyl albums, this one included, but I did eventually get it on CD and the Dance Collection CD that had the almost 18-minute "MacArthur Park Suite." :)

TOD:  We're on the same wave-length, George.  My favorite is also a Donna summer number, "This Time I know it's for Real."

Runners-up for me are

Vicki Sue Robinson's "Turn the Beat Around"

Laura Branigan's recording of "Gloria"

- and if it counts as disco:

Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine's recording of "1-2-3"

That got me in the mood for accounting and taxes - but I hope no one earned more than $11, because 11 is as far as I can count right now.

Does "Parker and Penny" (the try-to-fool-the-DJ's pseudonym for Steve and Eydie) singing "Hallelujah" count as disco?

Strange, as I march further into muddle age, Steve and Eydie seem more and more hip to me

Here's Helen Reddy's foray into disco, seriously - a number called "Ready or Not"

I would probably agree that it wasn't the best episode this season. And i also wonder why melinda would "lie". Although that said, it wasn't a full out lie. I mean she was actually working on the same case. And i think jim/sam can see that. I guess he just probably wonders why she would need to lie. I think she could have just said she was going to help with the search with eli and left it at that.
As for why she didn't use her intuitions to know she was being televised. I'm sure she knew she was being televised. But she probably had no idea jim/sam would see it the exact second they filmed her. Also re: intuition they never really show her as being that intuitive. To me not in her general life. Not like alison on MEDIUM. adjkldfsijfdasiuodfsouifdsouidfsoiudfsoiusoidfsoi iudfoiudiuoiuoiuoiuoiuoiu
