If the BATMAN ANTHOLOGY on Blu-ray arrives today, I'll start on that for my work project. It comes out on March 10th, so I'd like to get started on them. If the box doesn't arrive today, I'll start on JAG - Season 8 which I have another week's grace on: March 17th.

I'm listening to my usual Monday morning feast of BBC programs. Right now it's David Jacobs to be follwed by Russell Davies and then Alex (a woman) Hall. Tomorrow I will listen to Desmond Carrington.

Ben, what BBC station is this and what do these various individuals do?  Myself, I'm a big BBC 4 fan and listen to a lot of the comedy quizzes...The News Quiz; Just A Minute; The Now Show; Sorry, I haven't A Clue, etc.  I also listen to Danny Baker on BBC London.

It's BBC 2. They are music programs. I've modified my post and included the Web sites for each of them. I also listen to BBC 4 Just a Minute. Great program.

Ben, just went to David Jacobs.  I'm hooked!  Thanks!

I am still slogging through an incredible stack of opera BDs.  Some good:  LOVE FOR THREE ORANGES, some bad (the previously denigrated ABDUCTION FROM THE SERAGLIO, ;)  ).  I started the "double feature" of CAV/PAG yesterday, which is going pretty well, and also got about 30 minutes into Thomas Hampson as Busoni's DOKTOR FAUST.  I still have TOSCA and a VON KARAJAN MEMORIAL CONCERT to finish.  Then I want something extremely lowbrow to get me back to where I should be.  :)

With Anya due and the "secret" out soon, we're really getting down to just a handful of OCRs that I'd love to see on CD:

Cry for Us All
Donnybrook!
Good Old Bad Old Days (OLC)
Gone With the Wind (OLC)--yes, I'm a masochist
Jimmy
Joy
Man With a Load of Mischief (I have the rerecording, still love the original)
Pickwick (OLC)
A Time for Singing

So, Bruce, you have your marching orders.  ;)

Monday morning greetings!  I've been to the dentist for my 6-month check-up and cleaning and to Central Pastry for hot cross buns.

Emails, email, phone calls, phone calls, waiting, waiting...

That's been my morning so far, and it looks like I'll be spending a good portion of the rest of my day doing the same.

Coping-with-the-snow vibes to all along the eastern seaboard!  We have clear, sunny skies, but it's c-c-c-cold (and supposed to be colder tomorrow).

It could not be more bright and beautiful outside. The sky is a deep blue (no clouds), and the sun reflecting off the white snow is almost blinding.

I'm glad I'll be indoors today, however.

... and to Central Pastry for hot cross buns.

Ginny, the pastor just announced to the congregation the "Daniel Fast" that we are all expected to participate in this Lent. I guess no hot cross buns for us!

That'll take care of the "hot" and the "buns."  But for the "cross" part, she'll have to turn 90 degrees after 5 minutes.  :)

If the radiator is hot enough, those buns will be very cross.

I took my other laptop into to make it good to go.   That way any program that doesn't work on my MAC and i don't want to buy AGAIN, I can load onto my laptop and PC away when I wish.

I have placed my order for the two NEW releases - one to listen to....and one for investment.  I am planning for my retirement.
