Lovely avatar DR Sam.

That reminds me I forgot to comment on DR Laura's beautiful photos.  I especially like the butterfly in the spring blossoms.

It was a lovely day for a walk, and there were many butterflies about. I had to wait my turn for the red admiral in the tree, but I got a pretty good shot. Several lizards starting to be active, too.

I was going to say the lizards were starting to come out but I thought better of it.

It's been very quiet here on the home front. I had some phone calls this afternoon, but the telephone has not rung once tonight. Of course, I'm not complaining. I got a lot done.

I watched seven more episodes of JAG tonight. This makes a total of nine watched today. With the eight yesterday, that leaves seven more to watch tomorrow. There is also a gag reel on the last disc in the set, but I don't expect that it will last very long. So I should be able to finish up with JAG tomorrow night on schedule.

We went out to dinner with friends at Red Robin (burger place, for those who have not heard of it)  I had a bruschetta chicken burger, one of my favorites.  Jed had a guacamole burger.  Toby had a jar of baby food carrots.  Now he's sacked out asleep in his car seat, and I haven't the heart to wake him.

Football and hockey
I've seen them all and my dear
I'm still queer

Rooted for Rocky
Clutching a burger and beer
But I'm queer

I've let my eyebrows
Go unchecked
Laughed when the highbrows
Lauded Brecht
Missed Lincoln Center's King Lear
But I'm queer

I like Seth Rogen
And I mean just as a friend
But I’m queer

I sat through Shogun
Stood up and cheered at the end
But I’m queer

I went to Tommy
Loved the rhymes
I took my Mommy
Twenty times
Then  I walked out on Steel Pier
But I’m quee-eer

Lord knows, I loved Martin Guerre
But I’m queer
Look who’s queer
I’m still queer

(once again, a post by Jose inspires  :) )

As usual, they did an episode that had nothing to do with a military trial where the entire cast plays different characters in a scenario set at some previous time. This time it was in the Pacific in 1945 with the cast playing various parts on a ship under Japanese attack. The women were all nurses on the boat, and the men played everything from doctors to patients to orderlies, to priests.

I know the actors must have looked forward to this kind of episode each year that allowed them to play something other than their usual roles, but when the show has nothing to do with the JAG Corps, I get kind of irritated with those episodes.

Another unusual episode that had nothing to do with a military trial involved the JAG commander being lost in George Washington National Forest fighting off wolves and the freezing cold. He even pitched his camp on a frozen pond, and when the ice gave way, he fell in. Stolen right out of "To Build a Fire."

Tomorrow I'll get to see the next episode of DAMAGES on HD which should be entertaining. I really enjoyed getting to see my first-eer episode of it in HD last week.

It's all quiet around this home front, too.  I just don't seem to have the patience for a motion picture this evening.  Hence, I'm playing on the computer whilst listening to some CDs.

So, let me get this straight - I may as well shut the jernt down at eight now?  Have I got that right?  Because there really hasn't been anyone here for the last hour and somehow I don't think that will be changing until midnight.
