ON THIS DAY IN THEATRE HISTORY:

Thirty-six years ago, in 1973, the stars gathered on stage at the Shubert Theatre to present SONDHEIM:  A MUSICAL TRIBUTE.

It will never happen: there was some off-pitch singing, some screwed up performances and the producer left one singer deliberately off the album, I've heard, so I doubt he'll release ever a complete performance.

I wish that someday a legitimately released COMPLETE recording of the entire evening could be released.  I know I've heard tell that there's an illegitimate complete recording (;)), but I'd like something official.

The reason there has never been a "complete" and "official" release is motsly all due to technical issues. The complete show exists on tape but there are severe sound problems with some of the numbers and even with today's technology they could not be fixed well enough to get them to the point that they can be heard.

Darn.  :(

Who was left off the album, and why?  Is the producer holding his entire package for a fabulous price?

Can you carry a protein bar or something in your purse so this doesn't happen again?  Feel better soon.

I think Craig made a few dollars today since he had jury duty.

Still haven't caught up, but wanted to say to say hi while I'm taking a break.

If anyone's trying to get in touch with me about anything probably through Saturday, just send a PM or email - thanks!  I'll probably start catching up on Sunday on the posts for the week.

DR Cilla, speaking of Craig, he did all the things you inquired about.  Thanks for asking.

The trial is all over but the shouting.  So, it won't happen again. the problem happens when a judge takes a lunch break and gives us 40 minutes to do final witness prep, get ready for closing, review jury instructions and have lunch.   It happens in trial sometimes.  Actually the adrenaline rush works fine for me until the end of the day.  I ate about an hour ago and I'm slowly starting to feel better.   It's not a big deal, just part of it.

Then they should be on track, now they just wait and perhaps have an interview.  My last interview took about 10 minutes and ended with an approval stamp. So an interview isn't all bad

Just had a good laugh reading a feature on the Mormons being upset over BIG LOVE.  Anyone who's lived in SLC can attest that polygamy is not a thing of the past.  What do you think those 20,000 sq.ft. houses on Mt. Olympus are for?

Gods?

No, just Lords of Their Domains.  That's egotistical enough.

The interview seems easy.  I was reading there is a ton of prep for the interview, documentation & dated photos.  I don't remember what else.

DR Cilla I probably wouldn't feel like eating either.  I do keep snacks in my car for the drive home.  I rarely use them but when I need one it is great to have.

BK, the notes were quite wonderful today.  I only managed to see Dorothy Loudon on Broadway twice; once in ANNIE and once in SWEENEY TODD.  She was something.

I'm up, the sky is some color I'm not recognizing and that is all the news that's fit to print or, conversely, that is print to fit.

Perhaps the sky is brought to you by Warners'?

The printer repairman called; they may have to get the part from Japan. It will take about a month.

Another repairman is coming this afternoon to figure out why the printer is chopping off the tops and bottoms of the bulletins.
