On the old facebook I would get a notice on the news thread when someone "friended" one of my facebook friends. That no longer happens. Is the feature no longer available?

i GOT seven notice last night when friends of mine befriended MULLIGAN'S CLUBHOUSE GRILLE!  I think is is still available.
(BTW - all HHWers should befriend MULLIGAN'S!)

No one owns a copy of the music for "This Land Is Your Land"?

Well, you could buy a copy from:

Music Notes

or

FreeHand Music

*Although, you might get enough "info" from the free preview page.

DR Jane, that is interesting that the girl and you both would think to pierce the Vitamin E gel caps. I never would have thought to do that. I didn't even know there was Vitamin E gel in them. I wonder if a lot of people do this.

What did you think was in those gels? ;)

While looking for the song I do not have, I did find the SATB arrangement of Another Op'ning Another Show and the Choral Book for Man of La Mancha.....so two nice items for the display case this summer anyway.

Long before I ever swallowed a vitamin E I used it for scars on my face.  I don't even remember where I heard about using it.  Since all the scars cleared up I continued using it.

I think Evidently so.  Also, my mom (a retired licensed practical nurse) squeezes Vitamin E gel caps in German potato pancakes (very similar to latkes) to help prevent the batter from turning brown.

I was being cheap and trying to avoid buying another copy. I'll hit the Lincoln Center NYPL this week and hope they have it.

"Aldonza Get your Gun" was not a long running musical on Broadway. I hear it does well in the provinces.

I got another annoying e-mail from a different entity today about the same thing as last Friday's annoying e-mail - I've responded just as strongly as I did the other e-mail and I also told them it's the one and only response they're getting from me.  Otherwise they can deal with the mighty MGM and good luck to them.

Was The Merv Griffin Show done in NYC or L.A.?  (I'm talking about the CBS show that ran opposite Johnny Carson.)

His CBS series originated from New York. It was taped at the Cort Theater. I was in the audience for the second ever broadcast of that series. The guests that night were Dinah Shore and Sonny and Cher.

I watched the last 20 minutes of BROTHERS & SISTERS while I ate lunch. I had read spoilers so I knew the Tommy story. The Kitty story was interesting, and that now seems to be headed in a certain direction.

I had some time so I watched 30 ROCK from last week. Not the greatest episode. One or two chuckles was about all I could muster.

Then I watched THE ODD COUPLE. It still plays wonderfully with all the funny lines and great timing down pat. The new transfer looks sensational. It's brighter and much more solid than the last DVD.

I listened to the Chris Lemmon and Charlie Matthau commentary. Not a lot there of interest. Long gaps while they watch the movie, and many of their comments don't have anything much to do with the movie. (They were both very young when it was made.)
