Back from the UPS Store and all packages, all then of 'em, are on their way.  I only have two International packages left to ship, and I have to actually take those up to the window at the post office.

After lugging these ten big boxes to the car and then into the UPS Store, that may be my exercise for the day.

I saw the naked Macbeth in Washingotn D.C. a year or two back, and it was indeed naked.

That would certainly help the budget - no $$ for costumes

It's very odd re: the NATASHA RICHARDSON situation that some reports say she was in critical condition.

This report makes things sound much better:

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/reuters/090317/entertainment/centertainment_us_britain_richardson

There was an article about it in this morning's montreal paper. It said that the hospital where she had been transfered (sacre coeur) said she was no longer there at 11pm. Since all the other articles said she was in critical condition i could not understand why they would transfer her somewhere else. But maybe she was released?

RE: DWTS

I'm still not sure who i'll cheer for.

I think that the best dancer is definitely melissa. And Gilles very close behind.

I do think shawn is the next best. But i don't get why she is not as popular as i thought she would be.

I really hope steve O is okay. I really liked him and lacey.

I think denise was most improved. I thought she did very well last night.

And i don't know why but i love steve wozniak. Maybe it's from watching him on my Life on the D List. But i think he is doing the best that he could do. And what more can we ask. I just love how hard he is trying and he is doing much better than i thought.

I really don't care for belinda or david alan grier. Ty (jewel's husband) did do much better but he is still very stiff. I think julianne's bf chuck has a lot of potential. But he really did nothing last night. I was surprised she would let him do that.

Lil kim was a lot better last night to me than last week. And i think she is one of the better ones (after shawn imo). Lawrence taylor did a lot better also than last week. And i have not warmed up to holly.

DR Jennifer, at this point I don't disagree too much, but I think it's too early to have favorites.  I really don't like Melissa, but that's carry over from The Bachelor, I didn't like her there either.  She is a good dancer, but she's had all sorts of experience. I do wonder if the older couple that they showed standing after her dance were her parents. I've been curious to see them ever since they refused to participate in The Bachelor.

Here's an update

Quote
UPDATED: Natasha Richardson Injured In Accident
By Ian Austen
Updated | 1:20 p.m. TORONTO — The Tony-award winning actress Natasha Richardson was taken to a Montreal hospital after a skiing accident on Monday, a Montreal-area resort confirmed on Tuesday.

Lyne Lortie, a spokeswoman for the Mont Tremblant ski resort in the Laurentian Hills north of Montreal, said Ms. Richardson had fallen during a beginner’s lesson. She was not wearing a helmet at the time, she said.

“It was a normal fall; she didn’t hit anyone or anything,” Ms. Lortie said. “She didn’t show any signs of injury, she was talking and she seemed all right.”

As a precaution, Ms. Richardson was accompanied by a member of the resort’s ski patrol and her instructor, who then remained with her at a hotel.

When Ms. Richardson, 45, began experiencing headaches about an hour later, she was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Ste. Agathe, Quebec about 20 minutes from the resort. Ms. Lortie said that Ms. Richardson was transferred to the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal later in the afternoon.

Ms. Lortie said that the resort has no knowledge about Ms. Richardson’s injuries.

The Montreal hospital, citing privacy rules, declined to discuss her condition.

A spokeswoman for the Sûreté du Québec, the provincial police force, said that it had no information about the accident.

The Canadian Press reported that Kika Markham, the wife of Ms. Richardson’s uncle, Corin Redgrave, had confirmed the skiing incident.

“We know that she has had an accident but we really do not know any more details,” she told the news agency. “We are very concerned.”

Ms. Richardson won a Tony in 1998 for her performance in “Cabaret.” Her film performances include role in “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “The Parent Trap.”

Several Canadian news outlets said that that Liam Neeson, Ms. Richardson’s husband, had left a film set in Toronto to be with his wife in Montreal on Monday.

She is the daughter of Vanessa Redgrave and Tony Richardson, the film director and producer.

Mr. Neeson married Ms. Richardson in 1994 and the couple have two children.

Thanks for that update, DR Cillaliz.

From that report, it doesn't yet sound as bad as the initial reports that were saying that she had sustained some kind of brain damage.  I was envisioning a Sonny Bono type of skiing accident.

That blasted Steve Suskin book is cramping my sleeping time! I am finding it quite difficult to put it down to accomplish anything.

After watching it sit in a pile for about a year or so, I finally started reading Blair Tindall's "Mozart in the Jungle". I read almost half of it last night before finally making myself go to bed around 1:30am. I had heard about all the "sex and drugs" in the book, but I'm also finding the history of Arts funding in the US quite fascinating too.

DR Jose, I could NOT put that book down.  It's one of the best books I've ever read.

There are much worse rumors (and the reporter of the rumors says he has inside info) about Ms. Richardson.  Time Out New York's Adam Feldman reported the rumors, which he said he had inside info on - however TONY pulled the article immediately.

I went to the post office - no lines at all - so I got the two International packages shipped, along with seven other orders that had come in last night.  So, I was completely caught up until I got home, where there was a new order awaiting - and that's a good thing.

Back from a very productive couple of hours at the book sale site.  They will be ready for opening night Thursday, but I'm not scheduled to work until Friday and Saturday mornings.

But it has to be done in the summertime, in order to avoid the heating bills.
