The weirdest version of Shakespeare that I've seen was a local production of "Cymbeline" that was set in a post-apocalyptic future. They had a steel set and an android servant (incredible make-up and costume). But it was probably the first Shakespeare play that I could follow and actually understand. I was very carefully following the action and translating each line in my head, hoping that it would make sense...and it did.

I did. I had originally posted, asking if all of our iPhoners had upgraded their software today, but then I realized that today was just the press announcement of the software upgrade. It's not actually available yet.

...And did any DR - or yourself, DR DAW - post the news that the Amazon Kindle software is now available for the iPhone. Of course, since the iPhone's screen is much smaller than an actual Kindle, it's not exactly the same tactile reading experience. However, iPhone users can now purchase Kindle-books from Amazon.

I spent a fun afternoon revisiting THE LAST METRO, this time on DVD. SUch an enjoyable film, and everyone's just wonderful in it. The DVD can't touch the Blu-ray in terms of sharpness and color richness, but apart from some noisy reds and some resolution problems at the very end before the credits, it looked very nice.

I scanned through all of the bonus features which I had already watched and noted which were anamorphic and which weren't. Surprisingly, the trailer is nonanamorphic letterbox while on the Blu-ray, it was done properly at full resolution. Strange.
