Good! Something to anticipate!

Some weeks ago, I was visiting my mother in the South West of France, and as I was entering her living room, oblivious of my mother who was busy checking her bank account, THERE was a black cat sitting on the chair next to my mother's, as if he belonged to the place!!

We're familiar with this cat who's very snoopy but doesn't like to be petted! He had entered through the window of my mother's bedroom.

He's ALL black with darker black stripes running the length of his body.

He IS a cool cat!

I tell you!

He was sitting there like so much ... fish ... for a cat! :)

David Lee was delightful, he liked the questions, and the only problem was that about twenty people who'd made reservations didn't show up, including two people I know well.  I just don't get it - one of them got the time wrong (it's clearly printed EVERYWHERE), and the other just didn't show.  Not good.  Still we had about fifty people and the space we were in only has sixty-five seats.  Lots of laughs and great information.

On the weekends you make a good replacement. DAW, that's not a knock on you but since we only get our Dear François on the weekends he should make up for time lost!

Here's the final version of the Nudie art for the reading - I had him add more of a smile and the wink - didn't like both her eyes closed - now it's saucy.

Does that mean that I am Daw's understudy?! ;)

I wonder what happened to DR MBarnum?

I think he decided to go to L.A. after all and visit with Mr John Gavin!

I'm starting to wonder if Francois is now the "wine steward" at the hotel.  ;)

Here I am at work (just finished) and was perusing my Favorites in my browser and wondered what "Cast_FutureReleases" was.  It's a link within "Jorge's Place: A Personal Tribute to Musicals."  It's been a long time since I've been to this site, but I remember that I'd gone there before.

Anyway, looking at the future releases list, the second one down is something that several of us have mentioned that we'd love to have:

Weill: The Threepenny Opera / 1976 Public Theater Revival!!  Advance Order: This title will be released on 04/07/2009. You may place an order now however, and we will ship it on the release date. You won't be charged until the item is actually shipped.

I've placed my order!  I got both the Mary Martin and Pearl Bailey versions of Hello, Dolly! from ArkivMusic and was not disappointed! ;D

The reason I hate mistakes in liner notes - is that eventually someone will argue the point with you and give said note as a reference.....

Back from Whole Foods.  -Which turned out to have cheaper prices on produce - both conventional and organic - than Harris Teeter. -Guess I'll be buying my fruits and veggies there from now on during my stay in Charleston. *Whole Foods' "Organic Bananas" were 20 cents cheaper per pound than the regular ones at Harris Teeter.  Similar price differences were noticed among the celery, carrots, apples and sweet potatoes.
