DR Jose - I got a white MacBook that looks just like Richard's on the outside.  It's a little fancier on the inside, mostly because it's almost 3 years newer.  I looked at the new aluminum machines, but they're more expensive and I wanted to add some goodies, like more memory, iWork, MobileMe, and AppleCare.  I could do that with the lower-priced base and only exceed my price-range by a couple hundred dollars.  This morning I've installed iWork and configured my email.  Next up - installing the printer and figuring out how much I want to transfer from my old computer to this new one.

And I can certainly imagine watching a Shirley MacClaine moving and having the time to notice the set dressing.

I watched the (now canceled) LIFE ON MARS last night

Have you seen the Norwegian horror knock-off, KNIFE ON LARS?

I have my plane reservation here at the office and at 1:30 I will check in on-line for tomorrow's flight. Since Anthony is not around I will go to the airport early tomorrow (Newark Air Train) and sit and read my book until the flight leaves. It's supposed to be a beautiful day and I'll spend it sitting in an airport (my choice, though).

I cannot think of any two person movies (or plays) that I have seen...the  closest I can come to is the 3 person movie THE LAST WOMAN ON EARTH.

I got three books from Amazon.com.....

ALIVE - The story of the rescues from the Andrea Doria

FIRE AT THE GROVE - about the burning of the Coconut Grove night club

THE SINKING OF THE EASTLAND - America's Forgotten Tragedy

Those pesky links when you order a book always try to make you buy another one.

AND - I made a discovery....DR LAURA is linked to one of Hollywood's most enduring mysteries.....information later today.....

Looking at the list I just listed, I'm "reminded" of just how many plays and musicals I saw while I was in high school - and most them were at Arena Stage, with a good chunk them done as thesis projects for directing and acting majors at Virginia Commonwealth University.

-Oh, and I've also read, but not seen Tennessee Williams' two-character play, The Two Character Play.

I wonder if it's too late for DR SWW - and DR DerBrucer - to plan a road-trip to NYC this weekend for:

The James Beard Foundation Biannual Cookbook Sale

"Stock your cookbook shelf at this biannual book sale to benefit the James Beard Foundation. Admission is free; titles cost $5 and up. James Beard House, 167 W. 12th St. (between Sixth and Seventh aves.); jamesbeard.org"

Very good list!  I had forgotton about so many of these.  TALLEY'S FOLLY especially.

I was always sorry I never got to see THE BLUE ROOM (for obvious reasons.)

THE BOYS OF SUMMER w/George C. Scott & John Cullum
I DO!  I DO! (2 productions - Mary Martin & Robert Preston, Jane Powell & Howard Keel)

I forgot.

I also saw LOVE LETTERS w/Leonard Nimoy & his wife

And, speaking of Tennessee Williams' THE TWO-PERSON PLAY, I handled the publicity for the 99-seat production that was done in Los Angeles during the 1970s.  It starred Scott Wilson & Dorothy Tristan, directed by her husband, John Hancock.  Fred Karlin did the music.

Williams came into down to supervise the production.

The stories I could tell....
