I just saw one of my current favorite commercials for Ocean Spray cranberries; I love the old man and his not-so-bright son.

I must have missed the one where they identified him as "the son".  I just figured the older guy was his "daddy".  ;)

I'm too slow when it comes to reading the posts.  I click every link and then get side tracked with what's happening on that page and so on and so on and ya ya ya.

Be back in a few.  Maybe a lot of few.

Thanks.  People say he is big.  We don't think so when we compare him to a Newfoundland, St. Bernard or Mastiff.  When he is sleeping on top of us, yes he is BIG ;D

It's an actual commercial...it's also several years old, but it's real.

The only commercials I remember are the ones for Brut.  But maybe more for the magazine ads.

Hi Jane,  I have not been to a meeting in 10 years, after 1000 or so, I grew tired of them.

George, the answer is yes, but that was 18 years ago.  So I figured it was OK.  If someone didn't want anyone to know, they went to the "by invite only" meetings in the Hollywood Hills.  Sorry, I can delete.

Maybe that's why I like House so much, his character has a really big mouth.

And a very special Thank You to my host and friend, David! He had planned just enough things for us to do and see and eat, making for a pretty wonderful weekend. And after 20 years, it was nice to know that some things do stay the same. And all the changes were most definitely for the better. :)

And this just in: Chef Mike Lata of FIG in Charleston, SC, won one of the regional Best Chefs awards at tonight's James Beard Foundation Awards!!!

*I'm really glad I got in when I did, since I have a feeling a reservation is going to be a little harder to get now. -And they're being featured in this month's "Gourmet" magazine too.
