I think it would be cool if the contestants on Bravo's THE FASHION SHOW not only have to design and make their fashions but have to model them as well.

Still bright and sunshiny outside, but I do see some dark clouds off to the west. Hmm...

Well, the best laid plans and all that....

I was planning on having a free day today, and what do I find on my front porch but A BUG'S LIFE on Blu-ray, so, of course, I had to put my relaxation plans on hold and let this be a work day.

If anyone had an unanswered question from yesterday, please ask it again.

An unanswered question for BK from one of last night's videos:  What IS the biggest flop that is displayed on Joe Allen's walls?

Maybe Moose Murders.

Lots of people don't like A BUG'S LIFE, but I've always found it endearing, and this time around I found it brimming with throwaway wit by the bucketful.

No surprise that the Blu-ray is eye-poppingly gorgeous with rich, rich colors and so sharp and detailed it almost gives you a headache.

Terrific character voices too: Dave Foley, Phyllis Diller, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jonathan Harris (who steals the show), Kevin Spacey, and on and on. Who even knew Hayden Pantierre when she voiced the role of Dot and now one of the stars of HEROES? And Madeline Kahn and Richard Kind and David Hyde Pierce and so many others.

Sound is DTS-HD MA, and the home theater was shaking during those grasshopper attacks with all the low bass. Wow!

Back from rehearsal.  The sun was coming out and it was very muggy as I walked from 24th St. to 63rd or wherever the ASCAP building is.  By the end of rehearsal, pouring rain.  Unbelievable.  Naturally, when it is pouring rain you can't get a cab - where a mere two hours prior every cab was empty.  I did manage to get a cab at 59th, so that was good.

Then I started working on the bonus features, but there are lots of them, and I'm only about 2/3 of the way through them. There is still lots more to see.

So I'll be working on that undoubtedly until UGLY BETTY begins this evening.

Rehearsal was rough.  To save money, the singer took up an offer from Michael Kerker at ASCAP to rehearse in their conference room for free.  Unfortunately, free is not always the best way - the conference room had completely dead sound, a completely out of tune grand piano, and was stultifyingly warm.  So, tomorrow we're off to a proper rehearsal space - Ripley-Grier.

I'm supping at five with my choreographer, Adam Cates - we'll be at the Broadway Diner on 43rd - or is it the Brooklyn Diner?  I think Brooklyn.  I may not remember the name but I certainly remember the coconut cake, which I certainly will be having, especially after an hour on the treadmill and walking three miles (with more walking to come).  The rain seems to have abated.

After dinner, I'll be seeing Blithe Spirit.  I  hear it's not great, but I do love Angela Lansbury and the play, so I'm looking forward to it.  The first thing I tried to get a single for was God Of Carnage, because the cast is great - but the only single they purportedly had was in Row R and I don't do Row R, especially as I left my glasses in LA.  So, I went to the Shubert and they didn't do the game, and gave me a second row center seat.  I also tried to get a West Side Story single for Saturday matinee, but they had nothing except extreme side.  I may try again tomorrow.  I could easily get into Impressionism with Jeremy Irons as that's doing dreadfully, but the play doesn't sound so interesting to me.

As much time as the two of you spend together, I'm sure you know exactly what he would say ;)

It does make me wonder what happens when Monkey's butt itches.

As it just so happens I just bought a brand new car about a month ago. The car itself isn't nearly as exciting as the way I purchased it. I used www.carsdirect.com and I swear I will never buy another car by any other means. ALL car-buying should be done this way! I never had to go to a dealership and I never had to sit for hours in the financing office, waiting to pay cash for a car I wasn't even financing! All price haggling was done over a few e-mails. They delivered the car and all pre-completed paperwork to my place of work. I spent 15 minutes signing said paperwork, handed the driver a check, and the car was mine! But in case you're at all interested, the car is a Nissan Versa, bright flaming red, 5-door hatchback.

Best car - Mazda 323
Worst car - I've never really had a bad one, but my very first car was a Dodge Colt that was so old it didn't have fuel injection, so it was pretty gutless.

And vibes of safe travel to BK were sent via brainwaves, as I forgot to post it on this here board. Just know that they were sent out to you Mr. Kimmel....and you can use them while travelling via Taxi.

And if you get a ride by any handsome, turbaned Sikhs, just give them my card please.
