I watched another NCIS episode from the second season set. This was an interesting episode with a female sailor drowned in a toilet.

And I finished that BONES set with the last of the season four episodes they included in the season three box: the one about dog fighting and the dog whisperer. A lovely episode with a very touching conclusion.

Next, I watched tonight's network broadcast of NCIS. The cable guide didn't say this was a two part episode, and there was no "to be continued" at the end of the hour, but ending the way it did, I hardly think the story is over. There will still be quite an aftermath with what happened tonight.

THE MENTALIST had a very good episode, too, set at a school for troubled kids. I should have seen the murderer early on but I ignored the clues and was looking elsewhere. Oh, well. Good job!

Then I watched tonight's AMERICAN IDOL competition: the top three finalists.

Unquestionably Adam did superbly on both of his songs, but I was SO glad Simon cautioned that his inclusion in the finals was not automatic. People are going to have to vote.

I was shocked at the raves Danny got for his second song. The first half of it was very shaky and a bit sour (singing softly is not his strength) though it built well at the end.

Kris' first song was weaker than the second. Personality-wise, I like Kris better than Danny, but I do think Danny is the better singer of the two.

I have no idea how the vote is going to go.

I have always been pleased with Samsung.  I had a Samsung LCD HD unit for about two weeks last year before I unwisely traded it in for a bigger, though much worse, Sylvania.  NEVER buy Sylvania.

I want my Samsung NOW but must wait until one tomorrow.  I went to Amoeba, took in a huge number of DVDs and got a lot of store credit and got a bunch of Blu-Ray discs (I'd been getting them sporadically over the last few months, as I knew this day was coming - so I'd use credit and just get movies I knew I'd want).  I must say, for classic film lovers the Blu-Ray selection remains underwhelming.

Congrats on the new TV, BK! How exciting!

Yes, the reason I have not gone Blue-ray yet is because nothing I would watch has been released on Blue-Ray yet.

When ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE goes Blue-Ray, then I will be there!

I talked to my friend Bob for an hour, he's on a movie with Neil LaBute.  Was he just nominated for an award ?

There are three of us who have the same birthdays (12th and 13th) of May.  We keep in touch every year at this time since highschool.
