We saw the lovely staged reading of THE GRAND TOUR at the York, starring Jason Graae, Nancy Anderson and James Barbour.
I almost headed over to The York once I was down in that neighborhood, but I needed to get off of my feet for a bit - and get some caffeine in my system, so I stopped into the
ING Direct Café.
It's an interesting concept: part coffee shop, part banking center, part internet café, and part running and biking accessories store(!). They even have a special Orange (of course) ING Direct hybrid bicycle for sale!
However, the best thing about it is that they serve Peet's Coffee! And for only $2.00 a cup! In fact, all of their basic coffee drinks are priced at $2.00, and if you want a cappuccino or a macchiato those will run you $3.00. And if you happen to have an ING account or an ING mug, then you either get your coffee for free or for a buck!
I took a seat upstairs where there are some comfy couches and bar stools, and while I rested my feet, I was also able to recharge my iPhone too - lots of plugs!
Once the caffeine kicked in, I then headed up to 59th and Lexington where I hopped on the N Train to head into Astoria for tonight's
Marriage Equality New York rally in Athens Square Park...
