A Domestic Pawtnership...    :)

DAW, that clip was fantastic.  Nicky made me play it over and over again while he sat on my lap and watched it.

Phylicia Rashad, one of the really awful actresses to work steadily, is currently in AUGUST OSAGE COUNTY and the tv commercial is so godawful it defies description.

I "loved" the rehearsal picture they ran in The New York Times last week.  They showed her "in rehearsal" with John Cullum...  Just sayin'.  ;)

DR Cillaliz - If you happen to encounter any singing gondoliers while you're walking around the Venetian, be sure to say "Buon Giorno!" for me.  I have a couple of friends working there right now, as well as the one in Macao.

I've seen them already. I'm hoping someone tonight will want to split the cost of a ride.  I know it's cheesy, but I'd like to do it.  If so, I'll ask if our gondolier knows you :)

I once read that the majority of suicides by hanging are actually cases of autoerotic asphyxiation.

That is how Agent Fox Mulder from THE X-FILES will die.  That is according to the epsiode where Peter Boyle guest starred.

Jrand, I am so sorry that I didn't get online in time to say "BREAK A LEG."  I hope everything went well.

Does anyone read (or had anyone heard of) Serious Lunch?  Comcast has a link to a post which shows that Conan O'Brien's new "Tonight Show" backdrop is a Super Mario Brothers image!  Here's a picture of the set and with the MB cartoon picture filled in:

Well, it's time to head back to my sister's house for some assembling of the TV cabinet.

Until later...much later. ::)

Yes, I got the kritzerland e-mail earlier this morning about GOD'S LITTLE ACRE.

So did I. :)

BK, I didn't get the e-mail about GOD'S LITTLE ACRE (a reference to my pants size), nor did I get the last few release e-mails.  It doesn't matter because I already ordered it, but I was curious.  Did you check my credit report or something?

Watching "So You Think You Can Dance?".... -Yes, DR Jrand, that show is still on.  ;) In any case...

Some truly heart-breaking moments tonight.  Some even moreso, since I know some of the people who got cut, did not make it to the Top 20.  :(

When I got in from lunch, I immediately put in THE SEVENTH SEAL. Well, it's a masterpiece, of course, and much more accessible than most people might think it would be. Bergman has this reputation among those who have heard of him but don't actually know the films to be this heavy-handed, symbolic director of slow, heavy drama.

Actually, the film is diverting from beginning to end, and this one is barely an hour and a half and is over before you realize it. I really loved seeing it again after all these years. I guess I can put my Criterion laserdisc out to pasture now.

I could have sworn that THE SEVENTH SEAL was longer than GONE WITH THE WIND, but maybe I am confusing it with WILD STRAWBERRIES.

I have a feeling that I may actually reach my text message limit this month... Since that seems to be the preferred method of communication and negotiation with my landlord. :-\

Betsy is very concerned--she just found out her father needs immediate quadruple bypass surgery, which he is scheduled for in an emergency operation tomorrow.  Vibes, please.

For lunch today I ate at SushiSamba which celebrates the culture and cuisine of Japan, Brazil and Peru.  It was very tasty

Oh, Samba!  I thought maybe they served raw-fish pancakes.

I liked tonight's BURN NOTICE and I'm enjoying ROYAL PAINS. Good for Mark Feuerstein!

As I mentioned earlier, we had a light little shower earlier today, but it didn't amount to much. We have just now had a rain that lasted the ENTIRE EVENING. Never heavy but constant for HOURS. Seems to have slacked off a bit now (I need to take out my garbage bin and recycle bin), but we got rain!
