re: LEGALLY BLONDE.  It is sort of odd to showcase the same number they've already shown. But i guess they feel that is the strongest number. To me i was just put off because of the lead.

Tuesday morning greetings!  After some clutter-control and other puttering today, Richard and I are going to the library branch in Kettering to hear a program about Abraham Lincoln.  I'm about 3/4 of the way through Mary, Mrs. A Lincoln, a wonderful novel by Janis Cooke Newman.

So... Who else is using Safari 4 this morning?

I hadn't yet received the software update notice, so just went looking for it.  It's there, so I think I'll sign off, install, and be back.

Bye for now!

Beyond that, we had a helluva storn last night with lots of really loud thunder and lightning. I slept very poorly through most of it.  I haven't heard if there's any problem on the subways with flooding, but it could be a problem navigating my way to the East Side this morning.

You can say that again!  And it seems to that the thunder and lightning would start up every two to three hours.  Consequently, I woke up and fell asleep every two to three hours.  And I have a feeling I may be continuing that pattern as the day goes along.

Me, too!    :)     Zach does not do very well with thunder.

OK, I'm back, now using Safari 4.0.  The initial startup was...interesting.

I managed to get into the office right before the storms hit Philly this morning.  It was very weird driving over the Ben Franklin Bridge into the coming darkness and seeing the lightning bolts arc the skies.  Michaela Majoun on WXPN FM was saying that it looked like the end of the world and it did.  Luckily, the brunt held off until I was in my office.  I spent about a half hour just staring out my window--totaly dark until the lightning flashes.  It's been a long time since we had somthing like that around here.

I thought the SHREK number was delightful, but I'm such a Chris Sieber fan that naturally I'd love it. It was mini-Liberace on steroids that made me laugh out loud.

I had planned to head downtown later today to check out the newly opened segment of The High Line, but since the rain is supposed to continue the rest of the day...

And I'm just waiting on word on what the the Rain Plan is for tonight's free Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma concert at Damrosch Park in Lincoln Center.  The concert is schedule to be broadcast on PBS, but I have a feeling if the lightning continues they may end up moving it inside.

*Tonight is also the Museum Mile Festival where nine museums along Fifth Avenue will be Open and Free to the public.  Hmmm... I wonder if it would be possible to actually hit all nine museums in three hours?  Hmmm... ;)

Good morning!

Rain is in our forecast, but it doesn't look possible right now with blue skies and increasingly warm temperatures. Supposed to get up to 91 today.

I forgot to mention last night that I rewatched the Stanley Donen interview on TCM last night. I have it burned to a DVD-R somewhere in my archives, but since this didn't have commercials, it was very pleasant to just rewatch it "live" last night.

I haven't explored all the new features yet, but I have checked the breakdown on Apple's website to get an idea of what "new" I would like to use. I have a feeling that I won't be taking advantage of some of the new bells and whistles simply because I like to keep my web-browsing "simple".

Today for my work project, I begin on LOST - Season One on Blu-ray. Seasons 3 & 4 on Blu-ray were so dazzling that I'm sure these transfers will look equally gorgeous. I'm most excited, however, to relive the early years but this time KNOWING many secrets that at the time I wasn't privy to. SHould give those episodes an entirely different impact, and I just can't wait.

Speaking of storms, Richard informed me this morning that I slept through pretty severe thunder and lightening while he was still awake reading last night.  Now, that's unusual.

Yes we had heavy thunder with some lightning and rain last night, but it wasn't what they were predicting.....

Titus Burgess is right for certain roles, and not so right for others - Nicely Nicely being one of them....as far as I am concerned.

The heavy machinery and the loud (really loud) yammering and hammering are back and therefore I am up about thirty minutes earlier than I needed to be.  Go machinery and loud (really loud) yammering and hammering.  Not.
