Well... I guess I had a semi-productive morning here at the apartment getting things organized and planned.  Which, of course, means that now...

There was a huge thunder and lightning storm last night.  I only knew about it when an upset 75-pound dog woke me up by lying on top of me and barking.

LOL-The barking is really bad. ;D

On a good note, I'm halfway through the second chart.

Very scary DR Cilla.  I can relate to police at the door in the middle of the night, and fears of calls with bad news.  I have never needed to put the two together, very scary indeed.

DR Cillaliz-- at least the policemen were nice, and you know you're protected.   :)
They were very nice. I was amazed how quickly they got here.  It was seriously about 2-3 minutes after the phone call

That is impressive.

Just looked at Lakewood's site, and, no, they don't have any pics available other than the PR shot of Max, Leo and Ulla.  I must say these original Bway costumes are nothing short of spectacular.

DR Sam I’m glad your father’s friend will be taking you out on his sailboat.  It sounds like an appropriate send off for your father.

May the boat trip & memorial give you the comfort you need.

DR MattH - Thanks for the SoapNet reminder.  I ended up watching "Y&R" last night. At midnight.

You're welcome. I am VERY glad it is on our cable service. Also, last year when there was GENERAL HOSPITAL: NIGHT SHIFT, which had a story arc with gay characters, the only place to see it was SoapNet.

On a good note, I'm halfway through the second chart.

Rafe and Adam were kissing (out of camera range) when Nikki walks in quietly on them, watches with BIG eyes for a second, and then silently creeps out and quietly closes the door behind her.

In the previews, she has something shocking to tell Viktor!

Is this soap a throwback to the 50s or what! Same sort of thing happened in FAR FROM HEAVEN.

I watched this week's MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST while I ate lunch. Wonderful episode with many memorable moments including the adorable Betty White and Don Rickles who did make me laugh a couple of times. I was hoping for more with the tour of wine country, but the rest balanced that out.

Then I watched last night's RESCUE ME. Good episode except for the final sequence with a little kid driving a fire truck. Sorry. Couldn't happen like that. Absurd.

I skimmed through today's THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Funny how Adam has to change plans midstream when things don't go as planned. Kind of funny.

I concluded my afternoon with another POIROT mystery - SAD CYPRESS. I'm sure I had seen it long ago (and I had read the book, too), but I didn't honestly remember it. Still, I had no trouble at all discerning the murderer though I didn't know the motive until Poirot revealed it.

I haven't decided on my film entertainment for the evening.

I had recorded HER CARDBOARD LOVER, but after 15 minutes, it was so terrible that I deleted it. Norma Shearer at her worst, Robert Taylor a stick at boulevard comedy. Argh!

I'm curious, is anyone here gonna watch Big Brother (it starts tomorrow)?

Wouldn't miss it for the world! It is my most favorite competition show!

It does get crazy!

Did you hear that they are going to split the contestants into teams (cliques)? I think nerds, jocks ... and they will compete as teams.

Didn't read in detail so i don't know if they've elaborated on that. Could be interesting.

I will say this. I am getting very spoiled by having these days off. When the next big shipment of review discs comes in, I'm going to be thrown for a loop because it's so easy to get out of the habit of working.

Also, DR MattH re: yesterday's Y&R

I'm curious how you knew what phillip would say. Did you read spoilers in advance? I don't read spoilers but i thought they were being pretty quiet about what his storyline would be (or if it would be him or his son who was gay).

The only spoilers i read now are for casting. I've been doing this for quite a while. Because i find i enjoy it a lot more when i don't know every detail that is coming up.

I believe I may have read the same article that DR MattH did.  -And I think the link was actually posted here on HHW a couple of weeks ago.  ???  In any case...

I'm still trying to figure out if Cain was actually passing himself off as Philip - or as some long lost twin. I missed a couple of those episodes when that whole revelation was taking place - along with the whole baby-switching stuff -  and now that Philip is back on the scene, well...  Then again, it's a soap opera, it's not supposed to make sense.

I remember there being a couple of different articles posted here. But the only ones i read were ones where he hinted at interesting things to come. I did not read anything where the cat was let out of the bag. Although sometimes people on the soaps group mention things unintentionally. So i was pretty sure it would be him who was gay.

re: cane.

Apparently Phillip 3 (P3) faked his own death (even though apparently it was practically done on screen). But anyhow he went to australia, met cane and then they arranged for cane to come back to be P3.

The baby switch thing, well they haven't totally clariifed that. But I guess it did not happen (since the woman was apparently not in Genoa city when the switch took place). I guess they want us to believe that it was all in kay's head.

To me the dumbest part that makes no sense is that when cane took the DNA test to see if he was the father of chloe's baby ... they are now saying that he used P3's stored blood because he did not want to have different blood samples on record (do all these labs compare?).

Cane is now saying that since P3 and billy are brothers he (cane) knew all along that billy was the father (since it had to be blood that matched P3s).

That is the dumbest thing because they never showed cane doing this. They showed cane agonizing over having to leave lily and marry chloe for their baby. If he knew billy was the father he could have suggested this at the time and that still would not have blown his cover.

I guess that was the best the writers could do. But i wish they had thought out this P3/cane story before writing things that make no sense. Oddly enough the part that actually does seem believalbe to me is that P3 might have faked his own death because he was gay (although i did not watch the show when this happened - i think people who did are mostly pissed).

Which part. nikki seeing them? Him changing his mind?

I can't really remember the exact ending. Especially since i saw the 2nd half of the show before the first (the channel was not working).

It was sort of annoying that they did not continue with P3 and nina's talk. But wow, phyllis has got to be the best actress on the show! I love michelle stafford.
