The second one, the real shocker of the two I watched, had the end of Veronica's and Keith's relationships. Veronica's was truly a surprise, and what a shame to lose Aaron Ashmore since he seemed to fit into her world so well. But what a surprise ending! Wow! Great episode of a sadly undervalued series.

Then I skimmed through today's ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Fish and Kyle were both on with Fish being cruised on his date with (ugh) Layla by the waiter, and Kyle dropping some hints to Christian that Kyle was using Layla.

I think it's likely that I will go ahead and watch REPULSION on Blu-ray tonight to get my last review disc (for now) out of the way.

I got nothing in the mail today, so that will leave the weekend completely free from work projects.

And since the movie isn't all that long, I should still have time to watch something for fun tonight, too.

Does the LATIMES mislead:

Der B., the link isn't correct. :-\

Why George, whatever do you mean - it's works just fine ;)

Thank you. :-*

Back from errands and whatnot and don't really have anything else to do, save for printing whatever orders come in and then supping and seeing the Johnny Depp movie.  I was thinking about canceling the movie - but now it's probably too late to do so.

Looks like things are pretty quiet on the internet this afternoon. I'm finished with my surf, and will soon be heading downstairs.

And, Bruce neglected to tell you all what I ate! HOW COULD HE FORGET?? I had the BK-loathed veggie burger. Not the world's greatest veggie burger, but passable.

I can call that veggie burger anecdote and raise you.  :)

Huh? OK, I'm game.

Maybe you hadn't yet joined our Merrie Little Troupe when BK ventured north to PDX and we had a Boca Burger barbecue chez moi.   ;)

I would love to have been there, especially since I'm sure I agree somewhat with Bruce's opinion of those.

On TV TOnight!™

ABC - SURVIVING SUBURBIA, THE GOODE FAMILY, 20/20
NBC - THE CHOPPING BLOCK, DATELINE
FOX - ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A FIFTH GRADER?, MENTAL

And for those of us who have been awaiting:

At 9PM the return of EUREKA! 0n  SciFi  SyFy

der Brucer

And for those of us who hate change - the SciFi to SyFy is as useless as that recent Tropicana OJ box redesign

Thanks for the addition to the schedule. I'll try to remember next week to include SyFy (the most idiotic name imaginable) next week.

I liked SciFi, have no idea why they changed.

I'm looking forward to Eureka, thanks.  Company is back.

DR Michael S - Thanks for those "soap opera crossovers".  I remember the whole Linda Dano "stunt".  I think that was part of one of her anniversary years with the network.

I managed a quick hello to the baby & then said hello to the Corgi who didn't want to be left out.  They disappeared into their room to freshen up.  They have plans to go out tonight.  We aren't sure if we are babysitting the dog or not.

Have I mentioned how cute the baby & Corgi are ;)

I had no idea that SciFi changed to SyFy.  When did this happen?

Shows you how long it's been since I watched that channel. :-\

BDT actually managed to hit one out of every approximately 17 notes correctly last night.  Be still, my palpitating heart.  :)

I think his last job was playing that Roman production of CANDIDE I was watching last week.

In GUYS AND DOLLS we had a trumpet player that was either fantastic or horrible (never in-between).  I ventured the opinion that he was drunk or stoned half the time, which we (the Save A Soulers) decided accounted for the the fantastic performances.  Unfortunately, over half the performances (including the one we filmed) he was sober.

DRs Jennifer and MichaelS - There's news on some of the foodie blogs that Tim Hortons Coffee and Donuts will be coming to NYC sometime over the next couple of weeks.  Any thoughts?

Not really.

But there is an urban legend on how the Tim Horton's version of Dunkin Mumchkins were named

Tim Horton (was a great hockey player for the Toronto Maple Leafs, but this has nothing to with the urban legend) he was killed in a road accident on the 401 aka The Trans Canada Highway. He was spread out all over the road.

The new donuts were called Tim Bits

Also Wendy's Canada owns Tim Horten's (or is it the other way around?) and they are found in many of the Wendy's restaurants.

Says the man who watches soft porn like SINDERELLA AND THE GOLDEN BRA!

On a sadder note, I've been on the phone with my friend Buce, who's currently going through his mother's pre-death trauma. She's going through a period of strokes and her doctors have advised the family that any future one could kill her. We were discussing that period of limbo in which you essentially wait for the Big Phone Call.

FJL, Have you started on a parody of the 96,000 song from IN THE HEIGHTS for the
$96,000 Senator Ensign's parents paid his mistress?

As weird as this may sound, I'm actually happy both my parents died suddenly.  Although I "knew" right away my Mom was dead when her phone was busy all one night--it was the night Gabe actually "really" started walking and we were trying to call to tell her.  This was back in the days of dialup and I tried for hours to reach my sister, who had the neighbor's phone number in SLC, but my sister was online.  We got "the call" the next morning--the neighbor had seen two days of papers out on the driveway and knew something was off.  My mom must have been trying to call 911 when she died--they found her on the floor with the phone off the hook.
