But it's a good kind of groggy.        :)

I'm watching the Joe Hisaishi concert again, this time with 5.1 - the first time I watched it I didn't realize the default was two-channel stereo.  What a difference!  The entire menu is, of course, in Japanese, but I used the audio button on the player to select the PCM 5.1 track, which is amazing.

I've got a copy of Miyazaki's latest on its way to me - called Ponyo On The Cliff By The Sea.  Really looking forward to it.  It's going to be the first Miyazaki to get a Blu-Ray, but that isn't until November, so the DVD will tide me over till then.

What to do, that is the question and it's one I'm pondering.  To help me ponder I had a spicy Eyetalian sandwich from Subway and am chewing on some Fruity Snacks.

I think elmore is on to something lovely.

Maybe the Kritzerland site should invite people to check out the site?

Great idea!

Though Disney officials say there have probably been thousands of real wedding proposals at Disneyland, this one was acted out by members of Disneyland’s musical and parade performing cast.

Thank you for the truth regarding the video.  I would like to have known when I was watching it.  Was the one you posted for real?

If the idea was to entice people to visit the parks they might have offered wedding proposal options along with the video.

TOD:  I loved Gordon Willis' work on the Godfather movies, although he is one of the people you have to thank for his influence on the current crop of movie makers making all period films yellow.

I loved what Laszlo Kovacs did for the whole look of "New York, New York"  and his work on "Peggy Sue Got Married, " "Paper Moon," etc.

"Enchanted April,"  "Brief Encounter," "Sunrise," "One from the Heart"

Oh, it was produced by the same people so I believe it was made up too!

I LOVED "PONYO On The Cliff" (Richards!!) ... it is VERY different in storyline (More children oriented) that his previous work!

Was watching some clips from The Carpenters' heydays: such nice musicality!
I believe no one does music like that anymore ...

  Two films I recommend:

Woody Allen's WHATEVER WORKS

and SUNSHINE CLEANING!

Miss Amy Adams is a delight as usual!

What's everyone reading?

I'm still on the Oxford Book of Victorian Ghost Stories, but I just bought Edith Wharton's ghost stories for the next read.

I've been rereading THE LIFE AND CRIMES OF AGATHA CHRISTIE over this past week.

I am currently rereading a Carolyn Hart mystery, ENGAGED TO DIE.  It is funny how some books I can read again and again, and others bore me even the second time I read them.

I suppose that is a very good idea, but I must confess that I am very selfish about my HHW family.  I am not sure that I want to share my cyber family with any of my friends.

I just checked my mail and I found a "Sorry We Missed You" notice in my mail box, even though I am sitting right here.  What is even more galling is that it is marked as Final Notice, even though it is the first notice I have received in weeks.  However, the strangest thing of all is that this package I have to sign for is my copy of TERRY AND THE PIRATES from Oldies.com.

So, I have to sign for a $9.99 DVD, while last week they left a $150.00 leather bound autographed book at my front door, while I was at work.  It boogles the mind.

You are quoting where I like the idea of Kritzerland inviting people.

I did encourage Penny O to post, more so because of her history with Bruce.  DR elmore brought us our Dear Ginny :)

I hate when that happens.  If you complain they should return with the package & accept a written note to leave it.

I've been reading some old Cinema magazines - very interesting reading, especially the 1969 issue which has a large supplement about how this new- fangled home entertainment world is going to change the way we live.  And articles about all the coming any day now video tape machines (about five different companies with five different and completely incompatible machines and technologies - sound familiar).  Really interesting.

The publisher was one Curtis Lee Hanson.  He's removed his middle name now.

Harlan Ellison was a contributer as was Paul Schrader and several other people who would have professional careers as directors and writers.

Oh, I will just go to the Post Office on Monday.  We have a very sweet hearing impaired letter carrier, and I don't want to do anything to get her in trouble.  I believe she may already be on probation.
