Our entire database is down and we cannot do any work. I just got back from the Greenmarket where I purchased apples, peaches, nectarines, cherries, cherry tomatoes and apple-raspberry juice.

I took my purchases home (one of the advantages of living half a block from the office) and on my way back to "work" I stopped at the coffee cart and got a large coffee, milk no sugar.

Now I'm visiting a certain Web site.

I enjoyed Web Side Story.
Are the songs so short so they don't have to pay royalities Isn't it like 60 seconds or less then they don't need to pay

And as for the Sondheim cameo. I think it wouldn't work

Good morning, all! So, DR Ben, do you have a play day with pay?

I will be E&T most of the day. I have a meeting at Toyland at 10:30 and a recording session at 4. And a lot of work in the middle.

As for the border scene in The Untouchables it gave me a few chuckles. As it was so wrong. At that time the maple leaf was not a symbol. Canadians at that time were still very British. The maple leaf would not become a symbol until 1964 when we had an official flag and not the union jack,

Hollywood always get Canadian border scenes wrongh. In Die Hard 3 they called the Quebec/New York border in French La Bord Du Nord. WRONG! It is actually La Frontiere (The Frontiere)

Private reading of my play will be this Saturday.

And as I was driving home last night on the Turnpike, the final two scenes came to me. The actor who I am working with really likes the play and this is the first time I am working with him. So I am hoping this is a good omen

For the most part, I like THE UNTOUCHABLES, but there are 2 things that annoy me about it.

1. The movie has no sense of a passage of time. Ness and his people worked years on this case, yet the movie conveys the idea that everything happens in 2-3 weeks.

2. Why did they have to name that character "Frank Nitti"? Couldn't they have called him "Joe Shmuck" or something else?

Nitti was a real person. He was not killed by Ness or his men. In fact, he ran the Chicago mob after Capone went to prison.

Dramatic license is one thing, but changing hard historical facts is something else. That kind of carelessness really turns me off on a movie.

More likely tomorrow, the last day, when the vendors are really trying to get rid of stuff so they don't have to ship it home.
