103 today, 105 tomorrow, according to the forecast.  Except yesterday they forecast "only" 99, and it got it 103.  So I'll let you draw your own conclusions.  Please remember to insert a Nina.

My sister is bringing one of our childhood friends to the Bar Mitzvah.  Suzan doesn't exactly understand the nature of it all--she evidently bought a formal gown for the ceremony and wants to hire a limo to take my sister and her to The Producers.  :)

I wonder if she'll look more like Anastasia or The Chrysler Building.

There are two sure fire laughs in The Producers, even when we've had totally dead audiences (figuratively speaking, but not by much--we have a lot of blue hairs in the audience every night).  One is the pigeon Adolf doing the Hitler salute and the other is Roger's line about The Chrysler Building.  We had one show when those were the only two laughs, believe it or not.

As for the Topic of the Day...

I've never gotten into golf either, but my father and my two youngest brothers play from time to time.  However, I do understand the appeal of an activity that requires "pinpoint" concentration, as well as some mathematical calculations, coupled with a bit of chance.  -Much like piano playing. ;)

Betsy required me not to play golf before she would go out on a date with me.  :)

There was a very funny cartoon in the paper a couple of weeks ago.  First panel:  a woman with a guy at the bar.  She says, "Did you watch the US Open?"  And he says:  "Yeah, I tried to catch as much of it as I could."  Next panel:  the same woman with a different guy.  "Did you watch the US Open?"  Caption:  Speed dating also ushers in the speed weeding out process.  :)

And here's the finished product:

You can't see in the pictures, but there is a screen.  There's also just a little metal loop to hook a crank to, to open and close it, but I don't have a crank.  It's easy enough to turn with my hand.

We'll see what the temperature is like tonight. :D

Thanks...it is a nice view.  It's much easier to see out the skylight in the evening, when the sun is on the other side of the building and not blinding me.
