As for the DIRTY HARRY Blu-ray box, I just rewatched the original DIRTY HARRY on regular DVD a couple of months ago, but I haven't seen any of the others in years, so that's why I'm skipping the first film in the series (for now). I'll likely get to it tonight.

Turns out my heart was beating at 200 times a minute - the doctor says it should be at 80 or so....

it took a couple of hours for them to slow it to normal and then to determine that I did not have a heart attack or a stroke... they said teh cause was indeterminate....

I wonder if it could have anything to do with a  high stress work environment and 12 - 16 hour work days

-just sayin'

DR Elmore,

Hope you can feel better soon.

I didn't like  CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC either, but I had to finish it since I was reviewing it. In reading other reviews, I note a good many people found more to like about it than I did.

I was looking forward to it, since I rented it from Netflix, but I was both unamused and  horrified at its moronic heroine and the been-there-done-it-better-elsewhere tiurns of the plot. I don't know how the film ended but I was too uninvolved to care.

DR vixmom, you have got to stop these desperate bids for attention!  :)

We love you just as you are and want you healthy for a long long time. If the job is that stressful, start looking for another or go part-time until your health is back. You don't deserve this, and your employers should be helping you out by making it less stressful for you.

Two days ago Vixdad opened a letter rom our insurance co stating that as of August 1 our copay for emergency room visits would increase from $0.00 to $50.00 (unless admitted)

Well you know me, never one to pass up a bargain - I just had to squeeze in one more visit while it was free

LOL!

Seriously though, I have to speak to my boss  Monday - we have to make some huge changes in the office or he will soon not have one - one of the other women was in tears yesterday from the stress - our husbands all want us to quit --

I am going to start looking to see what else is out there...

DR Jose re: your cold questions from last night.

I'd say it's 100% a cold (and not allergies). My niece and sister both had/have it this week.

re: taking sudafed.  I really try to avoid taking things like that unless totally necessary. For some reason my body doesn't handle it well. It would make my nose stop. But medicines seem to go right through me. IF i took one sudafed, i would be in bed and unable to drive/do anything for 24 hours. I would have no runny nose, but i would not be able to move!

I guess i could try half or a third of a pill. But advil cold and sinus seems to help my sinuses and my cold a bit (although it does not totally stop my nose from running).

I felt really bad last night. A bit better now (just nose still running).

One thing i keep forgetting is my soft laser. It can be used for sinus problems. I used it last night around my nose. And it felt so much better (combined with the advil).

I wonder if it would work on my back too?

DRs Jose and Cillaliz re: food processor blades being sharp.

They are very sharp. I wash mine by hand carefully. I have no idea how i've never cut myself now that you mention it. :)

I didn't hate the opening number of SYTYCD. And i'd consider myself quite picky!

Sad to see the two who went last night. :(

I'm heading down now to get cleaned up to make my way toward completing my usual Friday errands. I suspect I'll be moving a bit more slowly than usual and it may take me longer to get5 them done. Ugh!

I loved CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC when i saw it in the theatres. And i wasn't expecting to love it since i love the books and the movies usually don't do the books justice.

Even though there were a lot of changes from the first book, I think it's possible to like the movie (if you love the books).

I think this movie is a chick flick. A fun romantic comedy, but definitely aimed at women.

Oh gosh DR Vixmom just read about your emergency room visit.

Hope you feel better.

Is it possible that you could have been having a mild panic attack? One of the key symptoms is your heart racing very fast and you can't calm yourself.

Hope they find out what you have.
