TCB - Glad you expressed your confusion about the beaches and bodies of water in Butte. Just because Butte technically has beaches doesn't mean the vast oceans won't confuse people.   Thanks - I've added this to the YouTube screen on the right:

"Note re questions about the ocean shots: Thought it would be fun to use an idealized Butte, Montana like in an old musical, so i hope it's not confusing - we did cut palm trees out of two of the chuppah photos, though. :) "

It's almost 10 now and I'm in the parking lot of the Urgent care. The worst of the pain is gone and I decided to wait based on the things I read on the web.  Essentially all you can do is wait for it to stop hurting.

Although, I guess they really don't take your gall bladder unless they have to anyway, so... In any case...

Happy Birthday to DR derBRUCER.

No, DRLAURA, I didn't have any muleteers that looked like Carol Channing.  However Dapple the Burro decided that he needed to make his forehead and chin dark brown and his eyelids white.  He was most disappointed when I made him take it ALL off.

DR Cillaliz - As for the people I know/knew in "Julie & Julia", Erin Dilly, who plays Judith Jones, is a friend of mine. And due to the structure of the review in the New York Times, her name appears alongside Meryl Streep's in the first paragraph, the first line of the review!

I've also shared rehearsal space with Linda Emond and Helen Carey who portray Simone Beck and Louisette Bertholle. And there are some other Broadway Babies in the movie: Brooks Ashmankas (Julie's Boss), Stephen Bogardus, Kelly AuCoin, and Luis Villabon.

DR MICHAEL S I have a lot of trouble with IMOVIE as well, can't really figure it out.  And it is a real time thing recording AND burning.  I have only successfully burned one movie from a file, and I don't remember the extension.

A couple of internet suggestions:

Use MPEFG Streamclip to convert them to dv format. You can then import and edit them in iMovie.

http://www.mango-design.net/2009/04/importing-dvd-videos-into-imovie-macbook-pro/

One of these might help.....

From a few days ago.

RE: Video on MACS

I was able to convert most of the videos to play on my MAC they open in quicktime,
BUT they are rejected on IMOVIE

Now I have read the manuals (I have two) and I cannot find anywhere that tells you what is the file extension that IMOVIE uses.

I would be so ever grateful if someone could tell me what it is.

Thank you.

DR Michael S - Let me Google that for you.

*The short, non-snarky answer is that iMovie supports various file formats (and, thus, extensions). It all depends on the original source material and what exactly kind of project you are working on.

I know I've been E and T (my MO) but I was busy with our summer children's theatre workshop -- 28 kids, ages 6-14, but they were actually really good kids so I survived without too much residual trauma. The closing program went great.

It is still nice outside. I am celebrating by cutting everything back in the overgrown "flowerbed." I have caught and moved several praying mantises.

So...

My parents called me late last night.  From New Jersey.  Jersey City, in fact.  Turns out their up for the day for a wedding.  The ceremony started at 11:00am(EDT), and the reception is supposed to start right after the wedding.  Needless to say, I guess I'm I'm "stalling".  -I actually wouldn't mind seeing my parents, I'm just not looking forward to the inevitable barrage of "Why aren't you married yet?" inquiries.

*And my Mom gave me the address of the place where the wedding and reception is taking place, and I can't seem to locate it on Mapquest or Google.  Hmmm...
