Well, I just did a little calorie and fat gram research on designer cupcakes such as I like.  Close to 400 calories per cupcake with over 20 grams of fat - and, depending on the frosting, that can go way up.  So, no cupcakes.  And a slice of chocolate mousse pie is just as bad, and worse, fat gram-wise.

And I'm guessing that that calorie count is on the low-side.  However, one cupcake, every once in a while sounds like a good treat.

Which designer cupcakes have you been trying? Sprinkles?

Oh...

After reviewing the bios of the current round of contestant-chefs on "Top Chef: Las Vegas" - I believe I've had meals prepared by at least 10 of them.  And I think the only "Top Chef Masters" finalist I haven't had the pleasure of dining "with" is Michael Chiarello - although, I've prepared a bunch of his recipes over the years.

Is that a metaphor?  A rhetorical question?  Actually, I've never frozen my grapes, but I hear tell they're good that way.  I got some cucumber roll and a little lobster salad - easy on the calories and fat grams.

I can't remember the name of the cupcake place - one of these trendy new ones with a couple of locations in LA.

I'm quite tired.  I'm listening to Pearl Bailey sing songs from Porgy and Bess and other Gershwin faves.  Odd.
