My camera broke today.

I'm sorry!  Don't you still have your older camera?

I have a drawerful of worn out digital cameras.

What a day.  CDs arrived at nine-thirty, I got them all packaged and out the door by ten-thirty and over to the postal office.  Then I picked up some tapes, then did the two-mile jog, then packaged up all the online dealer orders.  Then Cason came over and we got all those packages to the car and shipped.  Then we had our lunch meeting, after which we did some more work at the house.  Having him here for these big orders was very helpful.  Then I've been printing out orders all day, too, and then I heard that our NEXT release is up for me to proof.

Can't wait for my order of Duck/Wife.!  Oh Boy, Oh, Boy!

TIME TO GET A NEW ONE, I THINK.  MAYBE THE CHURCH COULD COVER HALF (MAYBE MORE) OF THE COST SINCE YOU USE IT HALF THE TIME FOR THE SERVICES AND BULLETINS/NEWSLETTERS.  IT'S THE LEAST THEY CAN DO!

I swear, NO MORE BAD NEWS!!  Two of my hiking friends just received positive test results.  Positive sounds like it should be a good thing and negative should be bad, in these cases if only it were true.

My damned phone is ringing off the hook with primary candidates saying "vote for me." I'm voting for the ones who don't call me!

Caller ID is a blessing. If I don't recognize the number I don't answer and if they still begin to leave a message I then pick up the corded phone handset and set it down again disconnecting the call.

I don't care if it seems rude. I don't need my answering machine clogged with mostly recorded messages and I don't want to talk to or listen to any of these people. Even the ones for whom I will vote!

Obviously, I'm back from the funereal visitation.  Weird.  Even the greeters at the parlor were taken aback by so many people answering "Both" when asked "Fetterman or McPherson."

We are also back from 4+ hours at the funeral home.  As those things go, it was not so awful.  Many long-time friends from our former church were there, as were many of the people close to John's wife and daughters with whom we've become acquainted at the hospital over the past few weeks.  This whole funeral home viewing custom is not part of the zeitgeist of grief to which Richard and I subscribe, but tonight conformed to John's wishes and met the needs of his wife and daughters.

Mum is good, thanks for asking DR Jane.  She's ensconced in front of her tv with "America's Got Talent."  (my cue to go downstairs and finish watching PUSHING DAISIES).  :)

Here's a technical question for BK...or anybody else who can answer it.

If you see a film clip that you like on, say YouTube, is there any way that you can download it, so that you have it on your own computer?

I have a Mac.

Thanks.

Go to keepvid.com and enter the YouTube URL in the box at the top.  It'll give you the option to download as a flash video file (.flv extention) or an MP4, which can play in Quicktime and is better in quality.  You'll need a flash video player for your computer for the .flv files...click on the link on keepvid.com for the free .flv player.  It's free and I've never had any trouble with it. :)

It worked.  Thank you.

This is what I downloaded.  It's great!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_fCRE5Xtnc&feature=player_embedded

Glad to help!  I remember watching this on TCM...I may have even made my own DVD of it.  If I did, would you want a DVD copy...if I actually did make my own DVD of it?

Is there a longer version than the 10minute one I just downloaded?

As far as I remember, that's the length of the version that was on TV.
