Tuesday morning greetings!  Richard is off to the local Episcopal church to teach and I'm about to do a major grocery shopping.  We've been eating on-the-run pretty much ever since we got back from Chicago and I'm ready to get my cooking act back together.

The photos and reports from last night make me wish we could have been at Fred & Skip's!

Congratulations to dear DR Elmore on the Finian's Rainbow revival!!!  How soon do Richard and I get to start planning our trip?

Remember last Thursday night when my book group showered our expectant mother with books for her baby?  Well, her latest Facebook update (about 2 hours ago), says she's in labor!

Thanks for the vibes about Steve and Gretchen.  It's really just starting to sink in for me.  I'm going up there this weekend to do a Mentos Geyser show for Steve.   We haven't tried Diet Coke yet.  I think that may do better than the diet soda we did in July

Better go. I'm meeting the rep from the Chamber at 10:00 AM so she can tell me the benefits of joining.   I told her I had been on the chamber board at the lake and had been the president of the chamber in Spirit Lake, so I had a very good idea about the benefits and want to join, but she insisted I need to sit through her talk, so we're meeting for coffee.  I can live with that

I dropped my big announcement at last night's event, and here's the news for everyone who could not be there. I will be working on the Broadway revival of FINIAN'S RAINBOW as the orchestrator for the  adjustments being made for the production. I love Rob Berman, the musical director, and I'm very honored to be asked to work on the show. I loved it at Encores!

Congratulations Larry! Woohoo, and Hoowooh!!

Loved hearing about the HHW partay! Having previously attended two of these at Skip and Fred's, I am quite envious

Elmo!!! Wonderfully wondrous news!!! Some of us is late bloomers - but oh, how we bloom!!! All good things, my dearling!!!

Thanks for the partay pix - makes the rest of us homesick for our little hhw family.

Pie: best one was Shepherd's Pie, peppered with actual shepherd on top...

I'm checking in quickly, before packing my one bag and heading for ye olde airport and hopping my flight back to Seattle. What a whirlwind of a weekend this has been - running to and fro, thither and yon - feels like two weeks since Friday. Never did see my brother - but I dropped in on Rikki and Tami, saw Tami's little grandson (long story, there... which ends with the word "oy..."), gave a piano lesson, saw three plays and a literary event at my theater, attended a board meeting and a meeting with my boss, got either promoted, demoted, or emoted into the Development job, depending upon how ya view it - time will tell...

So I'll have another couple of idyllic weeks as my little woodland hideaway, before shlepping down to LA for the 7 or 8 months I'll call 'winter' - having no better appellation for what comes down between mid-September and mid-May up the mountain.

Back from the gym.  My legs were very sore from yesterday, so I ended up doing a brisk three miles, then doing a combo platter of brisk walking and slightly less than brisk running for 1.8 more miles - I burned over 500 calories and did the full hour.

A little something for DR TD. A shot of his fave actor Shahid Kapoor with actress Rani Mukherji (gossip says the two dislike each other) at a recent awards show.

If you have never seen Shahid in a film, by all means rent JAB WE MET or 36 CHINA TOWN!

Congratulations, Larry--that is fabulous!

Just one question:  will you, or won't you, be wearing blackface?  (A Castrecl reference).  ;)

The pie last night was amazing! Topped off with Häagen-Dazs Vanilla Ice Cream it was a wonderful way to end the meal.

Topping it with Haagen-Dazs did me in.  I WANT SOME OF THIS PIE!!!
