Thanks for your concern about the kittens.

My DH just called. I think he was afraid I didn't leave them all at the shelter.

I watched MONK while I ate lunch. After thoroughly enjoying last week's "alien" episode, I didn't much like this week's with Monk as a twin of a famous hit man. Sure, it gave the star a chance to play a different character (kind of), but the mystery was pretty feeble and there wasn't much fun there.

Yes, indeed. Very happy that George got into the show he wanted to be a part of. I'm sure he'll keep us apprised of rehearsals once they get going.

I spent the next 190 minutes this afternoon with the third (and thankfully) last part of THE HUMAN CONDITION. It has been an interesting saga, but I rather regret it devolved into extreme melodrama by the last half hour. I kind of lost patience with it near the end going to its extremes and stretching everything out to agonizing lengths.

I have the entire bonus features disc to work on tonight. I cued it up, but it was a bit hard to tell how much might actually be there with the way the disc ontents were laid out. I'll find out soon enough.

Well, I did a quick internet surf, and things seem pretty quiet all over, so I'm going to hop off-line and do some writing. Then I'll head down and do that disc of bonus features for THE HUMAN CONDITION.

Didn't Elmore have a really funny story about a theater party at that show?  Elmore?

I'm sorry. At what show?

What was up with that Data Lounge link someone sent last night to CASTRECL that was supposedly about Mandelbaum?  I didn't see any mention of him, but then again, I may have been looking for XXX XXX XX XXX.  ;)

DR George - I am glad that your friend's cats ended up getting fed.         :)

I am a slave to duty (a "Pirates of Penzance" reference). ;)

We are the proud owners of two new small wing chairs. As I have mentioned in earlier posts, we were looking for something to replace the old couch. We looked at J.C. Penney's on line, Pottery Barn, West Elm, The Door Store, Macy's and Housing Works (used). We found some things we liked but nothing jumped out. I saw chairs in the window at Pier One earlier in the week so we walked over today (a block away). Lo and behold, they had a very nice small wing chair (we're small people, we need small chairs). We sat and liked and made measurements and thought and ate lunch (pizza), came home, thought some more and decided. We bought them at 2pm and they were delivered at 3:30!

What is everyone's favorite STATE FAIR food?

I can't remember when (or if) I've been to an actual state fair, but for fair food in general, my favorite is Funnel cakes!!

Dear MattH, it gets better, sometimes it takes 6 months for the pain to stop.  But it does stop.

I hope you're right. It is the promise of improvement that's keeping me going at this point. I am fairly miserably unhappy right now.

Back from a spot of lunch with Cason, and we're just doing the rest of the postage and all will be ready for the CDs' arrival Tuesday morning.

Cotton Candy. I haven't been to the fair in decades, so I don't know from any of this deep-fried fair food stuff.

And I have finished my promotions report and will soon be on my way to the bored meeting....er I mean the BOARD meeting.

No, and you can't afford to be bored with your board, can you?

I noticed that the fair here had deep fried asparagus, which I was very tempted to try.

So, elmore, will you be journeying to Olympia next Spring?

You never know, DR TCB, you never know!

Just remember, if anyone comes to town, you all have to find your own hotels...I don't have any extra room in my very cluttered place. ::)

From yesterday

Answering DR Jose question

Yes I am, but I am so far down the list and I have three counties worth of teachers fighting for a handful of jobs that unless things turn around I am afraid it is not to be this year. But I will not give up. Going to take more courses and tests.

Congrats to George.

Rehearsals are  long way off and anything can happen to the actor playing the brain.
