TOD:

Favorite cafeteria lunch by far was spaghetti.  Since I had the job of staffing the "milk cart," and was always the last through the lunch line, the ladies serving the food took pity on me and often gave me an extra large helping.     :)

When I was younger, Mom would pack my lunch.  There was this little plastic tub with a screw-on lid that she would put in, with a rotating assortment of "extras."  The only one I remember was apple sauce, but I do remember looking forward to finding out what the surprise was in the "tub" each day.

Starring Marshall Thompson and Clarence the Cross Eyed Lion.

And, yes, by the hour you can deduce how comfy the beds in this hotel are.  ;)

Tech weirdness is evidently continuing--it's actually a little after 3:30.

Seems a bit strange that HHW's timestamp would be off by such an "odd" amount.

I did find out from Onkyo that my receiver was indeed defective--it was in something called "protect mode," which it obviously shouldn't have been.  So it's packaged up and ready for its return to Amazon.

In other incredibly exciting news from the JMK front, I queued my last review for DVD Talk earlier tonight (yesterday?).  There's an embargo on Acorn releases until right before street date, which isn't for two weeks, so it won't show up there for a few days, but for all intents and purposes, I have finished my tenure there, and it's kind of bittersweet for me.  Unlike a lot of sites, DVDTalk does not assign studios to reviewers, so there's more variety and more of a free for all in terms of available screeners, and I know I'm going to miss my daily visits to the screener pool to see what little gems were available.

The Library of Congress - I hope the last word in DR JOSE's destination is a noun and not a verb.

Today must be my lucky day.  I've just received an email offer to purchase Missy Jeans at the astoundingly low price of $14.99.

I'm currently watching the first season of SONS OF ANARCHY on DVD.  It's a very entertaining series, that might best be described as: The Hell's Angels Meet HAMLET.

I have no recollection whatsoever what they served at my school cafeteria.

However, I do recall that I was a big fan of tuna fish and also peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Good morning!

The cool weather continues, and I am certainly loving it. What a pleasure to step outisde to get the newspaper or the mail, and to be hit with cool air. Most pleasant and wonderful. I wish fall were here for good, but I'm sure we haven't seen the last of hot weather.

Not a pain free night, but I'm inching closer to something akin to normalcy. My arm has been bothersome this morning, however, which is irritating.

There was a misdelivery on Disney's Blu-ray of EARTH, so another was put in the mail for me yesterday, and I'm supposed to get it at some point today. Thus this will be my work project when it arrives. Otherwise, I have nothing else here for work matters.

I had some time this morning, so I watched another episode of LIE TO ME. This had one interesting story (about surrogate mothers) that was interesting and another (about embezzling CFOs) that wasn't. Since I have no shows recorded from TV on the DVR, I'll watchy aother episode today while I eat lunch.
