Here's a question for you country music fans out there.  Does anyone have Don't Let the Stars Get In Your Eyes as sung by George Jones? It's available by all sorts of people and we have a Perry Como version but we are specifically looking for George Jones (it was used in Big Eden). The only CD listing I can find is out of print "George Jones Sings the Hits of His Country Cousins". One user is selling the CD used for $17.99 and another is selling it for something like $68. I will check at Academy when we get back in the city but for now I thought I would ask at my lovely neighborhood hangout.

I've googled all over the place. I haven't been able to find any Youtube or other video clips of him performing the song either.

I think Box Car Willie's version is a lot better :-)

I found out today that I will be reading Desiderata as part of the services (there are two) on Monday.

I have eaten dinner with my parents followed by dinner with Gretchen's family both nights that I've been here.   I have partaken in way too much comfort food - so much so that the comfort food has made me uncomfortable, lol.   at least tomorrow night my parents have been invited to eat with Gretchen's family so I will only have to eat one dinner.

Ginny - I think the half time memorial is a lovely gesture from the school

Yes, indeed!  I meant to comment on this earlier.

I'm quite surprised that no one's TOD choice has been The Ten Commandments.

Val Kilmer IS Moses!

Val Kilmer is working as a ride now?
From what I've heard he's been ridden more than once!

RE: the TOD.

I remember being a kid at either Disney World or Disneyland and going on Space Mountain. But i don't think you could see what it was and i was a bit scared.

One of my favorite coasters is here (montreal) at La Ronde. The monster. I love that one!

Oh I remember La Ronde, way back in the seventies, (I lived in Montréal then) and the remaining Pavilions of the 1967 World Fair . They still had the 360° Circarama movie of CANADA that Disney had done

http://esoterisme-exp.com/Section_dossier/Expo67/expo67-1.jpg

... I also remember a terrific School Band that I listened to for quite a while. The kids were terrific. We do not have bands in school here and that was a novelty for a French hick then.

Since then I have seen the bands at Disney's and I am still mesmerized. A little too loud at times but quite a sight to see, mainly when they also have dancers.

I remember that film It was in the Bell Telephone Pavillon right new to the Netherlands Pavillon. I can't remember what I had for dinner last night but I can remember something from 42 years ago! Ouch!!

The current Canadian 360 film currently at Epcot is different from the expo 67 version, All through there are sequences that are the same. I miss the shots going down St. Catherine Street at night time. Everything is so different all my beloved movie palaces are gone, The Loewe's, The Palace, The Capitol, The Strand (which became the Pigalle and showed French porno) and The Paris/Parisienne

Francois, in case no one has answered you,

frig

is short for refrigerator.

I don't know if you were kidding or not when you asked.

Well, I sure was joking even though:

I knew "fridge" for refrigerator,

AND, in slang, "frig" can mean something very specific but, this site being G rated .... while I do know this site is also "f(r)ig-friendly!  ;)

Here's a taste of the rollercoaster
http://www.arnoldspark.com/theLegend.php?section=rides

Well, it tastes like ... wood to me!!

The good thing is that people get some exercice by ... holding their arms up to the sky!

I guess it's called roller coaster worshipping! ;)

Life is enough of a roller coaster ride for me, really, with or without spreading my arms up!

On a personal note, I would just like to (re)thank the esteemed BK for preserving Ann-Margret's BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS to disc; I love it even more now that I've seen her in the role. . .
