Cute line on CNN - After being offered chocolate-covered bacon by an interviewee, Jon King referred to it as "an argument for health care reform in its own right."  :)

DR Jane, re: the roller coaster topic from yesterday.

I meant to mention this, but since you also like roller coasters do you find that they tend to bump you around a lot. I am only 5 '3 and medium size. But i find so many of these coasters are built for men. I find myself being shaken and bruised a lot because i get thrown around so much!

Yes DR DRUXY that is indeed Ms Hughes from IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE - an iconic image.  Can she license an image of herself that supposedly belongs to Universal?

Sold out audience last night - although empty seats where season tickets holders decided NOT to come.

Took awhile to warm them up, but they laughed at last and kept it up until the end.

I thought I had had my last glass of it.

Oh no.

No.  Here it is.

Well, my morning surf is concluded so I'll deal with some computer stuff and then head downstairs to begin LEVERAGE's first season on DVD. Looking forward to seeing those episodes again.

Evidently she can when they use it to advertise things other than the movie.

It's called "right of publicity".

That's why, in my book, I used caricatures of the various movie stars, rather than their photos.

Caricatures are protected by the fact that they are parody.

DR Druxy,

It sounds like there is a loose wire connection or a bad cable wire for your center channel speaker. Are you in a position to check to make sure of those connections are firmly attached where they need to be - on the back of the speaker and going into the receiver's center channel connection? That would be the first thing I'd check (or get someone who installed it to check for me).

Thanks. I'll check it out.

Oh....I see.....thanks, DR DRUXY.  I didn't know that.  Her image belongs to her, unless they are using it to promote the film it was taken for.  Interesting.

Good morning, all!

I slept very late, caught up on all the posts from yesterday, put my laundry in the washers, went to the market, mopped the bathroom and now I am back. I remember having dreams about orchestrations for FINIAN'S RAINBOW, but I slept very well. I am loving this weather in Manhattan and the fact that the Upper West Side is very empty of its populace.

Today at 4:15 I shall meet DR vixmom and the Vixter at AVENUE Q and step out with them. I have some work on OH BOY! today and I think I'm putting off defrosting the fridge until tomorrow morning.

I'm really hoping that, on Tuesday, George comes in and finishes the bookcases so I can spend part of the day getting the shelves back together. I cannot get into my clothes closet with all of the clutter infront of it - thank God for shorts and T-shirts! - and I'm hoping that my suit, which I haven't looked at since my dad's death in 2007 still fits. Otherwise, I'm going shopping.

Time to take the clothes from the washers.

I'm the same height as you are and do find myself getting tossed around a bit.  I like the modern kind with individual straps or bars that hold me in place.  I have a neck problem so a head rest also helps.  That way I'm not thrown  around so much.  I cannot go on the magnificent old roller wooden coasters.  If the car hold more than one person & doesn't require individual locking straps then I'm usually lucky to have Keith along with me.  He doesn't go on anything that loops or corkscrews.

No, no euphemism.  No such luck.  I guess I'm just in a Petticoat Junction state of mind (as opposed to a New York state of mind).
