Gliddy glub gloopy
Nibby nabby noopy
La la la lo lo
Sabba sibby sabba
Nooby abba nabba
Le le lo lo
Tooby ooby walla
Nooby abba naba
Early morning singing song

Good morning starshine
The earth says hello
You twinkle above us
We twinkle below

....just because it tickles me.

Yes, Taras was our fastest sellout.  Considering most people didn't see the announcement till six in the morning CA time, it really sold out in about three hours.

I think it's a beloved score and people seem appreciative that we've helped the sound so much, but I was as surprised as anyone given that it's already been on CD.  But, my big online dealer knew - he predicted it weeks ago.

Watched all of Henry Gibson's scenes in NASHVILLE, now I'm thinking of watching CHARLOTTE'S WEB.

Watching a fairly dreadful Mad Men.  The Labor Day long weekend episode that features twins and some of the most puerile writing I've ever heard.  And, the head secretary, Joan, I think is her name, just said she's stuck between Doris Day of Pillow Talk and the DD of Midnight Lace.  Interesting, as Midnight Lace wasn't released until late October of that year.

I specifically noted some of those kinds of errors in my Season 1 review.

My main opera distributor has come out with some unusually cool releases this month.  I spent the afternoon watching a fascinating Glenn Gould documentary, and I have Sting and Trudie Tyler (is that her name?) up next as Robert and Clara Schumann (I believe Pink is portraying Brahms).

Very sad about Mary Travers...Peter, Paul, and Mary are one of my favorite groups, and she seemed such a nice lady   :'(

I enjoyed the final episode of this season's BIG BROTHER and I was very, very happy with the outcome(s).

And do Jordan and Jeff not make THE best couple! I adore them both and do hope they continue at least with a strong friendship. And if Jeff does not take Jordan to Hawaii with him...well, I can only hope he takes me instead!

I'm sure you pointed out the Astrud Gilberto song on the radio in October of 1960 - pretty good.

And since I'm in the last three episodes, I'm curious as to what the plot stuff is that MattH didn't like?  The Sterling plot line?  I must say, the actress playing Peggy is a good egg - she's gained about fifty pounds over the last six episodes.  I really like this gal a lot.  But frankly, I just don't see how Draper and Sterling are going to change - they are both fairly repulsive characters, especially Sterling.

Actually, I'd never even heard of the movie...let alone heard the score. ::)

But I very muchly enjoyed the audio clips on www.kritzerland.com/taras.htm.  I think I'll really like the rest of this. :D

I'm done with my viewing.  Listening to the new recording of the complete score to Exodus.  After the raving I've heard I was expecting the second coming, but it's not quite that.  It's perfectly fine, but there's absolutely no passion in the conducting - even though the CDs from RCA on the original soundtrack sound terrible, the conducting is amazing - here the tempos are reallllly slow, and while all the notes are being played, it just lacks - passion.

That said, I love the score to Exodus and it's great to have all the music, at long last.

Color me VERY impressed!  The gal playing Peggy gained NO weight - it's all make-up - prosthetics and fat suits.  It is so realistic the people who did it deserve major kudos - I have never seen better and the proof is that I was completely taken in by it.

Is it the Peggy story line that MattH didn't like?
