On the way back, I stopped at a lumber store and bought two sheets of playwood, which are being cut to my specifications as I type this. I will stop back tomorrow morning to pick them up.

Sounds awfully butch to me!

"Buying" plywood, Kerry?   LOL.

I went to HD On Demand and pulled up last night's CSI: MIAMI. I don't watch the show any more on a regular basis, but since this episode went back in time 15 years, I thought it'd be interesting seeing how they pulled it off. They had to do a lot of CGI around David Caruso's eyes to erase the years especially since he wasn't wearing sunglasses back then (one of the BIG points made in the episode). Using rather primitive forensics, Horatio is able to solve the case and start up his own crime unit. Kind of a fun episode.

While I ate lunch, I watched last night's season premiere of CASTLE. Such a fun outing without it being a great mystery, but loved seeing Robert Gant in a guest role even if it was only one scene. A great way to get the season off to a rousing start.

I saw him in a commercial during the proceedings.  Where was he in the show?

I spent the majority of the afternoon watching MANHUNTER on Blu-ray. Not the greatest looking transfer (the DVD was always soft, so this is better than that), and it's filled with Michael Mann's MIAMI VICE vibe of the 1980s with all the synthesized music and slow mo.

I never saw the remake RED DRAGON though many people have said this is superior to the remake.

William Petersen was still sex on a stick back then.

He was the one who introduced the victim to the Russian poker game so he could try to pay his debts and got even father behind.

I had time to watch today's ATWT. Luke was on, but it had to be one of the most pathetic ransom shows ever staged. Not insisting the kidnapper let her hear her missing husband's voice. She thought he was DEAD! Why should she believe otherwise without SOME kind of proof. Stupidity beyond belief.

Tonight, I'll likely watch OLTL and then the next HARRY POTTER (since CHAMBER OF SECRETS is one of my favorites in the series).

Well, Brian, the copyist for FR, should be here soon to pick up two more numbers, and then I'm off to a press event for the show from 6-8. We begin tech rehearsals soon, and I'm still waiting for several pieces. Most of my work is finished, but I've got a couple of short cues and, maybe, the finale. I got a new cue last night, but the last two bars are still indefinite.

Smooth labor vibes for the mother-to-be!

I hope so.  Her last delivery was difficult.  Today is one week past her due date, long in my opinion for a 2nd baby.

Thanks for the book/movie link.

DR George -- I am going to the Kristina concert on Thursday.  I've been hearing about Kristina for years, and I'm very excited to finally get to see a concert version of it.  I got my ticket as soon as they went on sale - months ago!

Cool!!  I've had the Swedish CD for several years and even though I can't understand anything that they're singing, I love this!  I can't wait for the CD of the concert to be released!

Here's your library tip for the day:

Based on the Book

Probably not exhaustive, but a good start.

That's pretty cool!

Thanks for the birthday wishes DR George.

And THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the DVD of GLEE!  It was commercial free to, which we both appreciated.  Last night we watched the pilot you sent.  Keith loved it, to my pleasant surprise, and we immediately watched the season premier.  If not for you we would we would have missed this show.

My afternoon surf is completed, so I'm heading down now to continue with viewing. First OLTL and the back to Blu-rays for HARRY POTTER followed by the NCIS double feature on CBS.

Well, we had good news and bad news. The good news is that they have all survived the upper respiratory infection. The bad news is that the eye infection I thought was part of the URI is very bad. The worst possibility is that some of the kittens may end up blind, and blind kittens are not adoptable.

This is pretty much what the sky looked like as I left the hiking trails yesterday.  When I drove home, had I turned right instead of left I would have seen this photo.  I saw trucks & people & opted not to get in the way.
