TOD

Never been a big fan of Rock Hudson so there is no performance that stands out. I vaguely remember Seconds which was a very different movie and thought he was good in that/

Or you can listen to Jonathan and Darlene. That's what I did after my 1.5 hours of dental fun.

I am back from spending the evening at Lincoln Center.  At Alice Tully Hall, there was a memorial tribute to George Weissman, who passed away this past summer.  He was the CEO of Phillip Morris, and later the Chairman of Lincoln Center.  And my DH's aunt was his assistant for much of his working career.

There were spoken tributes from family and friend and prominent business associates.  We also had Mozart via a string quartet and jazz from Winton Marsalis and friends.  It was quite a tribute to a great man, a great patron of the arts, and a passionate advocate for corporate support for the visual and performing arts.

Got the last two episodes of BONES watched. That included that controversial coma/dream episode where Booth and Brennan are married, and all the characters from the season (regulars and recurring) take part in a murder mystery at their nightclub The Lab. I disliked the episode intensely when I first watched it. I liked it much better the second time around since I saw how wittily writer/show creator Hart Hanson used all of the characters in their new personas.

There were four bonus features on the disc including a funny gag reel and interviews with the round-robin group of interns the show initiated last season and is continuing this season.

I had some time so I watched some shows on the DVR. I began by skimming through today's ATWT. Nothing of interest and nothing in tomorrow's previews.

Then I watched Friday's LAW & ORDER. Good episode having to do with this outrageous reality shows like JON & KATE. Really enjoyed the episode even with a weaker than usual mystery.

I recorded last night's THE BIG BANG THEORY since Wil Wheaton was on and I thought it might be funny. There were some amusing moments (all provided by Jim Parsons), but I don't find myself needing to visit the show but a couple of times per season. THis is my first trip here this year.

And I concluded my evening watching tonight's NCIS. Enjoyed the mystery a lot and I was figuring it out when the killer was revealed. I couldn't believe how fast the show flew by!

This afternoon I met a bunch of the people who office on the floor I'll be moving to.  I think I'm really going to like it there.  I'm sort of isolated where I am now. I'm on the skywalk, but there aren't any offices that are like next door neighbors.

I gotta tell you.  I have just this minute finished with all the work I had to do.  I literally have not stopped since nine this morning.  Every time I thought I was through, something else would come up or I'd have to pack up overseas orders (which I'm about to take to the post office, save for the two that I have to stand in line for tomorrow morning), shipping the big boxes at the UPS Store, answering e-mails, preparing two eBlasts to send concurrently, listening to the new master, getting my webguy tracks to put on the site - it just never ends.  I don't think I'll have time for a motion picture this evening.

I'm back from spending a couple of hours out and about in New York City... :)

It really was a gorgeous Fall day here in NYC.

The two women in the next office work for a local foundation and do a lot of grant writing etc. They are very excited we'll be moving in.  I also met the human grandpa of Jake the Dog (who made so many headlines in sioux city)  He also works on the floor.

DR elmore - I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to bring a guest to the Opening Night Party.  Heck, most opening parties end up filled with "crashers" and people who never even went to the show that night. Now, unless they're planning on having a sit down dinner, or they're holding it in a very small space and they're worried about the Fire Marshall showing up, well.. Heck, I'm sure that sure that other people know Bruce Pomahac, and if he's chatting with other people while going into the party, no one will bother to ask for his pass/ticket.  -Frankly, I'm surprised that Bruce wasn't already invited on his own.

There is a write in campaign going on to write in Jake the dog for city council in the upcoming election. I'm going to be Jake for Halloween.  I have a dog costume, so it will just take a few adjustments.  And I got invited to a halloween costume party today....perfecto!

Actually, I just got back from two hours at the dentist's office, and I feel like I just went ten rounds with Mike Tyson (except I still have both ears).

It was a drizzly rainy night..... not quite as foreboding as a dark and stormy night, but it's what the weatherman just said
