Nothing like a music teacher/vocal coach without a sore throat and almost no voice.  Today will be spent on the couch curled up with my favorite pups and keeping my throat hydrated and trying not to speak.  Other than that, I feel great, seriously.

Good morning, all! After I posted around 5 this morning, I finally did get some sleep, and now I'm moving tentatively about the apartment. I think I will go into midtown around 12:30 and frop off the opening night(!!) gift for Tripp, the stage manager. I was going to give it to him on Saturday and by then I didn't feel like going out. I couldn't give the gift to him on opening night because a crucial element (double CD cases) was tardy in arriving in the mail. After that, I will visit a bit with friends in the show and head back home.

BK, did my check arrive yet?

Wednesday morning greetings!

Nothing like a music teacher/vocal coach without a sore throat and almost no voice.  Today will be spent on the couch curled up with my favorite pups and keeping my throat hydrated and trying not to speak.  Other than that, I feel great, seriously.

There's been a lot of that going around HHW lately - hope your throat feels better soon!

Well - my lovely 24" x 30" framed print of John Douglas Cline's STONE MEMORIES (retail $100) was still at the lovely Goodwill store - it was marked $29.99 and with 30% off + tax, it was mine for a little over $22.

Note:

The Weavers were NOT from Flanders, they were from Greenwich Village, NY

The Weavers' DOG was from Flanders (obscure book-film reference there--who knows who played the kid in the 1960 version?  No fairs Googlin').

Great flow chart, DR DAW!  I've sent it to my DH (Anglican clergy) and my DS (philosophy major) and will let you know how they react.

Hilarious, DAW.  And also, in the case of Mormonism, completely and irrefutably true.  ;)

Oh, Missy Karen.  It is always a delight to see you.

As for my delight over your gratuitous one-liners, let me just suggest -- sweetly, of course -- that it tickles you to delight me.

Thanks DR KAREN.  A fellow actor gave me that advice years ago, so naturally every time he does a show I send him this note on opening night.

Does anyone here have any connections at Brooklyn Academy of Music who might be willing to help a couple of my friends attend a special event?  Please PM for details.
