Finished the first pass on the liner notes.  I think they came out well.  Later I'll proof and revise and then send them off.

Last evening, I watched the first act of ANGELS AND DEMONS on blu-ray.  Tonight, I shall finish it off.

Are your liner notes as interesting as were TCB's ?

EVERGREEN REVIEW

Quote
...
The book is fast becoming the despised Jew of our culture. Der Jude is now Der Book. Hi-tech propogandists tell us that the book is a tree-murdering, space-devouring, inferior form of technology; that society would simply be better-off altogether if we euthanized it even as we begin to carry around, like good little Aryans, whole libraries in our pockets, downloaded on the Uber-Kindle.
...

Perhaps a tad overwrought.

We are back from a casual dinner at a local restaurant where we celebrated my mother's birthday.

DR mattH sorry to hear about your ATM card troubles. I remember one time a long long time ago an ATM ate my card. But it was right when they first gave out ATM cards, and i had forgotten my PIN number (it eats it after 3 tries).

This might sound dumb, but don't your grocery stores take credit cards? That's how most people here seem to pay for groceries.

Did anybody here watch the SURVIVOR clip show? My sis did not like it. But i loved it. There was so much new stuff. And i could not believe that the stuff they showed last week at the end (the preview for the next show) was actually for this week's recap. It had to do with russell letting the chicken out. I cannot believe that happened so long ago. I wonder why they didn't show it.

For some reason i had assumed that that was going to happen on the next episode and that people would be mad at him!

I wonder if shopping on Black Friday gets people more in the mood for christmas. I know if they had it here i would definitely go out.

The canadian equivalent i guess would be boxing day. That is our mega shopping day of the year.

There are more and more people with christmas lights on outside (i prefer not to see them until dec). But today i saw something that shocked me. Someone had lights outside, but also a fully lit tree indoors.

Maybe this is more common in the US, because people get in the mood after thanksgiving. But here, i don't know anybody who puts up their tree before mid-dec.

Thank you, DR Jennifer!

When my niece and I left the house just before 8 this morning, there were snow crystals on the windshield of her car.

DR JEANNE - the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that the mice in your dream are various parts of your life that you have under control, for the most part, but are still somewhat unmanageable in your imagination.  HOWEVER they are completely manageable - completely!

My goal tonight was to get at least through episode # 7 on LOST. I actually got through episode #9, so I'm more than halfway through the season. I had forgotten how very good the episodes are once one wraps his head around the season's central conceit.

My ATM card is also a Visa card, and I have canceled all of my other ones, so I had to write a check as I'm fresh out of card(s).

The next episode in the set (#10) also has a commentary with it, but I'll watch it first tomorrow (even though I've seen it) and then go back and listen to the commentary.

I did stop watching LOST so I could watch UGLY BETTY.

I am SO glad Nico didn't get away with her scheme. That boy friend was SUCH a sleeze, and she was a crook, plain and simple. So mommy wasn't there for you when you were growing up. That justifies grand larceny?

Knowing the big surprise at the end of the season of LOST, it's allowed me in rewatching these to watch carefully at how the surprise was set up. I'm not sure the actor in question was even told what that big twist was going to be. (I could be wrong about that; maybe something in one of the bonus features will make it clear).
