I finally got my car back - $760 odd later.....
the insurance adjuster wanted to see the last five years of maintenance records before he would OK the claim - I was goingt o fight it but the inconvenience of having no car while I argued it would have cost me more in aggravation then what I would have saved in coverage as they only cover mechanical breakdown, not regualr service items so the new battery, the radiator flush and fill and the leaky hose would not have been covered in any case - then there is a $250 deductable on what they do cover - so in the end it would have been about $200 savings - if I won my appeal wjoc was doubtful since I didn;t keep teh receipts for all the past years maintence - I had been ever been asked for them before -
Vixdad thinks they are sick of paying for the car after 220,000 miles, 2 transmissions, a radiator, a water pump, an AC unit, a head gasket... and are just going to deny the claims going forward...
