CBS, NBC, and Fox have new slates of episodes tonight.

ABC has a slate of reruns except for EASTWICK which, obviously, ABC is burning off the episodes since the show has been canceled and UGLY BETTY is being moved to this spot.

CW continues with its VAMPIRE DIARIES marathon.

I didn't have a great night of sleep. I knew I wouldn't since I'm not used to eating such a big, heavy meal at 8:30 at night. COupled with cocktails and a glass of wine at dinner, and I knew that I could only expect about five hours of sleep, and that's what I got. It's OK, though, since I used that early morning time to continue reading the fascinating book about LADY IN THE DARK. I'll be pulling out one of those CDs at some point today, I suspect.

As for Gummis...

I prefer the "real" gummi-bears - the ones that "feel" more like pencil erasers than stale marshmallows. I also prefer anything "sour", and my favorites gummis are those Haribo peach and grapefruit slices.

The laundry is finished, the bathroom cleaned and mopped, and I've burned 14 holiday CDs with about 16 more to do for the cast and company of FINIAN'S RAINBOW. Now, I'm off to deliver two to my physical therapy place and see my MD.

Those of you who, like I am, are luddites and are dealing with Windows Vista--did your taskbar change after the latest service pack update? I'm trying to figure out if what's happening is related to this stupid virus I got. Instead of my normal taskbar, with the taskbar buttons wide enough to read what they reference, I now only have "logo" buttons, tiny little icons that don't tell me anything. Plus only 2 at a time will display, which is silly.

I am in bed with a sore throat. I had a minor sore throat all day yesterday, but ignored it as I had things to do. My doctor's appointment was cancelled because the doc has the flu. Maybe that should have told me something. In any case, the throat got worse during the night, so I am now in bed, taking various and sundry remedies. I have some work I'd like to do later. We shall see. I have a good book, in any case.

Never mind--a friend just told me what had happened. I didn't realize there was a "handle" on the taskbar you can stretch to make room available for the buttons. All better now.

DF&H#2 has been instructing me on the care and feeding of La Hollywood Manse and dog. This house is so high-tech that sometimes I really do have trouble turning the lights on and off. Yesterday I couldn't get the front door to lock. DF&H#2 couldn't, either. It turned out to be something peculiar about the lock. Said door is now locked. As for the lights...

I will say that I've never had a problem doing updates on my Mac. I had problems with them several times when using Windows.
