We are back from a nice visit with my cousin, his wife, and her parents.  My mother attended, but my aunt (my cousin's mother) did not.

Rob and I are now watching the Kennedy Center Honors.

Time for me to head out.  My friend Margo has gone to the beach with her kids for a couple of days, so I'm feeding her cats and bird.  Then, I'm off to my sister's house for some candy cane cocoa (and nothing to put up or put together). :)

LOL, DR TCB - I think they're all winners already!

Well, I heard that Grace and Mel are going to mud wrestle for the championship.

DR MattH - I thought "Che" ran closer to five hours in total?  I know when it was originally presented here in NYC, they presented it with an intermission and a program book.  -The film was later released as two separate movies.  -Did they include the program book with the screener?

Yes, each part is more than two hours in length so I guess it IS closer to five hours. It's a thick box set, but I haven't cracked the cellophane on it so I don't know what Criterion has included in it. The two parts are housed in their own separate DVD cases.

As I said earlier, I'm really not ready to dive into these because I'm SUPPOSED to have Fox releases that came out today, but they haven't arrived yet.

I began my evening watching another NCIS episode from last season. NCIS and the FBI once again working for/against each other in trying to solve a case. These are always fun since NCIS almost always prevails.

Next I watched CHANGELING. It's a very involving film even if it IS too long. Lots of fun seeing the wonderful Jeffrey Donovan playing a disreputable  character. Jolie was very good, and I liked seeing Frank Wood doing an understated performance that was really sweet and endearing. Amy Ryan also had a couple of great scenes. A couple of the actors were familiar faces from guest starring roles on TV, but their names weren't familiar.

The second NCIS episode of the evning had Gibbs marked as an upcoming victim in a serial killer's agenda. One of the best episodes from last season with a great surprise murderer.

Congrats to BK on the new ride!  I bought a new Ford Taurus station wagon in September of 1995 2 1/3 year old The Vixter rode in a car seat in the back

the car now has nearly 220,000 miles and the Vixter has been old enough to drive it for the past 8 months if she had any interest in obtaining a  learners permit

Thank you for the cooking advice Woody (I think it was Woody...)- the prime rib came out beautifully!
