Well, you've read the notes, the notes were written and had wind, and now it is time for you to post until the windy cows come home.

Morning all. Back to work this morning after MLK Day.

I'm oatmealing and coffeeing at the moment. I must get to the Post Office sometime today.

We went grocery shopping yesterday so now the house is full of good things to eat like fish and turkey breasts and strawberries and salad and carrots and grape tomatoes and oatmeal and dried fruit and dried nuts and wild rice and coffee and tea and hearty brown bread and mini whole wheat bagels and bananas, apples and clementines and lots more. We won't have to go shopping for a month!

I have a follow-up doctor's appointment today, after which I'm going to take some boxes to the booksale site that I really, really want out of my car.  This stuff was donated by someone who does animal rescue and the boxes are covered in cat hair - AH-CHOOO!  I'll probably stay to help sort and price books, go out to lunch with my friends, and then go to my mom's to take some empty boxes to the trash for her.

Good morning, all! Today is a McGlinnventory day followed by a trip to Toyland. After that, I'm back here to other various and sundry jobs, the most important being the IRS; I have to begin sorting my 2009 receipts so i can set up an appointment with my accountant.

I've just been catching up on people's favorite toys from youth (yesterday's TOD). I know i also had an easy bake oven, and lite brite.

The interesting thing when you have kids in your life now is seeing which toys lasted.  My niece is too young for an easy bake oven (although they still make them). But she has lite brite.

And now i even get to color again.  I'm much better at it now! :)

The things I played with the most were creepy crawlers (I didn't like the edible ones) and spirograph. I got pretty artistic with both of them!

I always wanted that big 64-crayon box that the other kids had. So many colors to choose from! And it had a crayon sharpener built in!

A little something dedicated to the full-body scanners at airports AND to the upcoming FRANK SINATRA/TWYLA THARP musical.

Here's the link to FLY ME IN THE NUDE, parody of FLY ME TO THE MOON, and it is (to my knowledge) the first YouTube parody video meant to honor the upcoming debut of the Twyla Tharp musical based on Frank Sinatra's songs.  The video has a twist of the airline security scanners that reportedly reveal every intimate detail of the passenger's body.

It's only about two minutes.  And despite its title, it's totally suitable for all ages!

If you enjoy it, please pass the link along to others.

Thank you, DR MattH! I sure a lot of the impetus was my anger over GUIDING LIGHT and the fact that my best friend is now uemployed but I also do not understand the low ratings for OLTL. It's a much better soap than AS THE WORLD TURNS and DAYS OF OUR LIVES. In 11 years of working out of my apartment, I've seen most of them at one time or another!

Wow--that was fast. Seems like we were discussing this over dinner only last week! (I got the full body scan on my way to NY.)

I would love to send this to the head of the Sinatra foundation--I think he'd get a kick out of it and it promotes the show. But I'll wait for the go-ahead first.
