DR DERBRUCER - And speaking of Mark Bittman and grains... His "no fear" method of cooking polenta is already available on the Times site.  *Although, you may want to "ignore" his advice about "more is better" in regards to cheese and butter. ;)

On TAR - I like the Cowboys.

Yes I think they (Jet and Cord) will be quite entertaining...but who named them? Henry Willson?

I was shocked at how well Jeff and Jordan did. I hope they last a while, as I certainly enjoyed them on BIG BROTHER. And Jeff is certainly nice to look at.

I also am rooting for the Grandmother and her grand-daughter.

The brothers I could do without...if I hear "Snap!" one more time I will have to through a shoe at the TV.

T.O.D.

Normally, I would say New York in a heartbeat; but considering the weather, I would pick Tahiti or Grand Cayman.

I think many DRs will be interested in this new DVD release of BELL TELEPHONE HOUR (1960 to 1966), featuring Broadway's leading ladies plus Keith Andes, Patrick Cassidy, Gordon MaCrae, and others.

It can be pre-ordered at Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00376AWAC/ref=nosim/?tag=dvdverdict3-20

Well that certainly looks interesting, DR MBARNUM.......now and then we would watch the Bell Telephone Hour....but I get it mixed up with the Kraft Music Hall... and all of those recipes.

I didn't watch THE AMAZIN' RACE last night because of the Olympics.  But it's early in the game and I'm not too concerned about reading spoilers.

I'll probably like the Cowboys, too.  Especially if they're dumb....

That is my thought as well, DR derBrucer - about Bayh.....he has been in the Clintons' pockets since BEFORE he was elected to the senate - and his father is a long time bleeding heart liberal who catered to no one but the lobbyists and couldn't get his wife to even visit Indiana once they moved to Washington......

Well they were going to Santiago Chile - so they traded their dollars at the airport for Brazilian currency.

Unlike the rest of the world, which has the day off, I am spending my first day at my new place of employment in Conshohocken, PA.  It took me only twenty minutes to get to my office in Philly via a car drive--it took me over an hour to get here by a car drive and two train rides...    :-\

But the one train ride along the river was lovely...

Hopping from LA to NY - sounds like a plot from one of your "Invasion Of the 400 FT Playgirl Bunny" movies.

Also, I don't rate an office in this new place--I'm in a cube.  My computer screen is also rather exposed, so I have to be careful of my internet usage.  Until I'm feeling a little more secure, my daytime posting might be on the limited side...

Almost as entertaining as Jordan repeatedly saying "China."   ;D

You need to borrow the curtains from the LA Book Fair.

Good idea even if you will be missed.

Condolences on the new situation & vibes you quickly settle in.  At least the ride is lovely.  Are you able to read on a train?

I haven't looked for Groups yet, will do that now.

I came in to let you know Keith didn't get the email out before heading to the gym.  He said he will mail it around 3:00.  Sorry.
