I finally got to watch some olympics with my niece. She gets so worked up. I loved it.  Not sure if NBC has tape delayed this afternoon's sports. But there were some exciting moments for canada. And we both cheered and cheered.

And she really pays attention. Earlier today we were at a bookstore. And she was explaining last night's short track speedskating to me. I have no idea how she remembered everything so well. But she told me that "the canadian charles went spinning to the finish, the korean fell and went sliding, and apolo onho was there too). Very cute.

Although my niece was not too happy when we were making blueberry muffins and some clutz dropped a whole bag of sugar on her lap. It was actually pretty funny. But she started to cry when my sister almost started laughing. I wish i had a picture of it.

Tonight the figure skating exhibition is on at 7:30pm.

And right now canada is in the men's final for curling. And tomorrow should be very exciting. At 3:15pm (eastern) is the gold medal game for men's hockey: canada vs usa!

I am trying to find out who is going to be the flag bearer for canada for the Closing Ceremonies. Some want Joannie Rochette (figure skater whose mother died suddenly this week), some want alexandre bilodeau (who won the first gold). I personally would like charlies hamelin (who won 2 gold medals). Although i would also be very happy with joannie.

I can't open the only video's I have found of the women's free skate.  I would like to watch some of what I missed.  I read it would repeat on Friday night, after the fact, and checked to see what recorded.  Once again it was the men's free skate. ???

Jennifer, you niece is really at the age when their absorption can be astonishing. :)  I'm glad she didn't cry after the sugar spill-lol.

It's been a very frustrating and unrewarding day. I apwnt a lot of it doing laundry, mopping the floors, and packing up more books for Miami University Library to keep myself busy and my mind off the blowup this morning. I have two more cartons I want to pack in this round of shipments.

So, I'm off to watch some DVDs.

Perhaps you would feel better if you watched some videos!

"Some clutz"?  Where exactly were you doing the baking? Or was a that a way of not self-incriminating yourself? ;)

I'm eating delicious leftovers from dinner last night.  For the 1st time since October we went out to dinner and met a friend who is in town visiting her sister.  She had her 10 month old baby girl with her.  Keith & I took turns holding the baby, who didn't want to sit in the high chair after waking up from a nap, so her mother could eat.  Lucky us.:)

I watched the Lost episode from last Tuesday.  Of all this season, I sort of liked it best, but I still find it irritating that they want me to care about a character that's never been in the show before and that character's relationship to the regular cast member.  But I'm assured by the obnoxious voice-over at the end of the show that answers will be forthcoming next week. :)

What was DR JOSE doing down on 21st St?

I took that pic while I was walking around Chelsea yesterday.  After my Hot Chocolate Constitutional at City Bakery, I walked over to Chelsea Market for some shopping and take a little break in their new arcade area - they have tables, free WiFi and electrical outlets.  As I was sitting there, I just kept watching the snow stop and start, stop and start.  Then I walked down to the Apple Store on 14th.  Stop and start, stop and start - and I happened to run into a friend of mine I hadn't seen in a couple of months.  Then I tried to get on The Highline, but it was closed off.  So I walked up 10th Avenue to 23rd - with a stop at 21st Street to take a picture or two.

Does that answer your question? ;)

Does Jose have a favorite sport? athlete?

Baseball - Since I was born in Boston, I'm a Red Sox fan - but, mainly a fairweather one at that. Otherwise, the one sport I loved playing while I was growing up was soccer.

As for favorite athlete... Hmmmm... There are too many "options" for "Favorite". ;)

Very nice DR JOSE.

We had lots of customers between 5:15 p.m. and 6 p.m.  I was just ready to leave early when the deluge broke.

Our afternoon storms didn't come, so now they are predicted for the middle of the night. So I guess I'll miss the excitement.
