Both episodes tonight had a TON of guest stars.

The first had David Cassidy, Troy Donahue, Jessica Walter, Paul Petersen (who wasn't even given guest star billing!), and Monte Markham.

The second one had Jeanette Nolan, Gary Lockwood, William Windom, Tina Louise, and Cameron Mitchell. Both were fast-paced episodes with a couple of really great stunts.

Then I watched tonight's NCIS. Gena Rowlands was the primary guest star playing Gibbs' former mother-in-law.

And I finished my evening with an action-packed episode of LOST. Lots going on this week!

I'm watching a motion picture on Blu and Ray.  I needed a sweet so I went to Gelson's - the bakery has a new thing - a teeny-tiny little thing of peanut butter pie, probably a small slice worth.  It was quite yummilicious and I should think I'll be having it quite quite often.

I am back from Rebecca's wonderful concert. I went with Zachary Stains, the naked Hercules, Billy Hicks, who was the secret behind a lot of John McGlinn's success, John Vogel, the McGlinn executor, and Michelle Churchill.

We had dinner at Rosa Mexicano, where the food was fantastic and the service a complete dud. On my way to the reception I ran into Skip Kennon, whom I adore and who introduced me to Steve Marzullo, who had two songs on the program. At the reception I talked to George Dvorsky, Danny Burstein, Howard McGillin, the fantastic Joseph Thalken, and a few others, and I got snubbed - again - by Judy Kuhn (third or fourth time now), who's never acknowleged I did anything for her "Just In Time" album, and clearly does not remember I was around for her tantrums. Where's her second recording, I ask you?

We got more snow, and this time it was cold enough to stick. Looks like a half inch or so.

Winter - bah!

I love Howard McGillin. Will never forget how impressed I was with him in THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD. I have his autograph from SPIDER WOMAN, but I didn't see him in it. I saw the original cast. My friend Jeff got it for me when he saw SPIDER WOMAN a year after I saw it.

I also found on my cell phone an email from the friend at the Library of Congress who called me last Saturday to tell me we were no longer friends. From the sound of the message, which has to be from either today or yesterday, I guess he clearly has no intentions of accepting apologies.

Good Evening!

Well...

I have to head to the airport in about eight hours, so I might as well just post and post...

DR elmore - Yep, the service at the Lincoln Center Rosa Mexicano can be quite spotty to non-existent at times.  Thankfully(?), they do seem to have managers who listen to the complaints that any of their customers may have. Myself included. ;)

Alas, as much as I like the food at Rosa Mexicano, their portions have seemed to have gotten smaller over the years while their prices have gotten bigger.  And then there are their $15-$20(!) margaritas. :-\

*The cheapest way to enjoy RM's menu are the cook-at-home entrees that they market through Fresh Direct now.

DR elmore - How is Rebecca sounding lately? I always "worried" for her while she was in Mary Poppins singing in the basement of her vocal range.

Thanks to JMK, Jane, and Jose for the feedback re: rice cookers. It never occurred to me to look for one in an Asian store; I usually shop from Amazon. I am encouraged by the positive feedback and will pursue this.

You're welcome, DR Jeanne.  If you start with a cheap one, then you can decide if you want to make a bigger "investment" down the line.

While I ate lunch I watched last night's DAMAGES. Oh, my, so many secrets and so much sneaking around. It's such a good show.

POSSIBLE "DAMAGES" SPOILER AHEAD

One of my favorite Facebook wall messages from the past week (from one mutual friend to another) was: "Oh my God! You're Sweeney Todd's daughter!" :)

END OF POSSIBLE SPOILER

Well... I have some trip preparations to take care of, as well as a few hours of sleep ahead of me. I think. I hope.

Goodnight.
