Druxy - Arthur Knight was no friend of mine, for reasons that will become instantly apparent when my book is read.

Back from all sorts of errands and whatnot, breakfast, and I've been through half the book finding all the em dashes that Grant's program SHOULD have found but missed.  This is the first book where it's missed virtually ninety percent of them.  He clearly did something wrong in his initial global search for them.  It's probably for the best, because now we'll change the majority of them to something else, but I find two or three on every page.  Really annoying.

Good Afternoon!

It's WINDY here in New York City.  Flight delays. Flickering lights. Garbage being blown through the air. Crazy!

GLAAD has weigned in on the end of Kish on ONE LIFE TO LIVE; I guess after praising the show for its really brave achievements, they're rightfully pissed to see the producers and network run like cowards to turn the show back to a heterosexual-only love affair program, with its serial rapist turned into a good guy and a lot of plots over who can steal whom from whoever or screw around behind whathisname's back.

Thanks for posting the link. I'll get to it later. I hope they are as outraged by this as I am.

I watched several DVRed programs today.

Before lunch, I watched Thursday night's 30 ROCK. Pretty much devoid of humor this week. I find this a very overrated show most weeks (though occasionally they do have a good, funny episode). This week's show was one of the poorest in recent memory.

I watched MEDIUM while I was eating lunch. Superb episode, really gripping and out of the show's usual formula somewhat.

I could have sworn that we have seen episodes in earlier seasons with the teenaged Allison already being fully aware of her psychic powers. Be that as it may, the episode was still quite wonderful and genuinely disturbing in places.

Watched GHOST WHISPERER, too. A scary episode and one of the best of the season, I felt.

I've only got about 100 pages left to proof and I have to say if I never see another hyphen with a space on either side (the way I call out an em dash) it will be too damn soon.

WOW!

My friend, Allen, who lives in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, just spotted someone swimming(!) across his street.  The bay has flooded his neighborhood.

*And this was just reported too:

"JFK tower confirmed its wind measuring equipment blew off the building and shattered on the ramp."

And now parts of the subway system have been shut down due to weather-related power failures.  -I really hope that DR elmore is not stuck underground right now.

The house is being shown twice today.  Pray for Rosemary's second mortgage.  ;)

DR JMK - Is your current house "staged" for showing, selling?

Can't....talk....too...busy....laughing....hysterical ly

;D

Surprisingly I'm rather good at putting a house in order to sell, must be all my experience over the years.  I'm even good at keeping it perfect for showing at a moment's notice, unless I'm cooking or something.

Keith, not surprisingly, can make a house look professionally staged.  We know this because realtors have asked if it was.

Our weather has been a little bit of everything today.  The forecast had called for rain all day, so I was surprised this morning how sunny it was outside (It is always sunny inside my place!).  Then as I came outside after lunch it started raining.  Since then it can't seem to make up its mind what it wants to do.

However, I got my spring haircut yesterday, so it had damn well better be spring.

Daylight Savings Time? We don't need longer days in the summer in Arizona. They are long enough!

Daylight Savings Time is going to come really early if we don't get some postin' goin' on.  Page three at 5:26 = new all-time low.  New all-time low = annoyed BK.  Annoyed BK = well, I don't think we want to go there.

WHOA!

Here's a clip of the current conditions in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.  Can you find the sidewalk?

WHOA!

*I hope DR vixmom and the vixfamily are not dealing with similar conditions.
